    Hi

I am thinking of opening a site like peekvid is there any legal issues that may affect me?
I wont be hosting any of the movies it will be embedded from other video hosts.

    Thanks

There may be some. I think the MPAA may come after you for "Linking to pirate material". Though I'm not totally sure.

The MPAA has successfully gone after sites that simply list torrents. Actually embedding the video would be even easier for them to go after. Yes, there are are thousands of sites that do it, but then there are thousands of people that steal cars.

    100% illegallll

I owned dopiitv.com way back in the day (yea thats where my name came from lol) and I got a cease and disisit letter from the MPAA + adsense doesn't accept you, and its a worthwhile adventure ONCE you get it all started- and host it off shore (treat it like a warez site)

    Thanks
    Mike

    no clue about trailer sites.

I guess it would depend if trailers were copyright or not... I don't think they are though

Trailers are copyrighted. Sites have been gone after for using them without permission before.
