My marketing story. I really owe you guys.

I was wondering, since you are dealing with video marketing, do you have any tips on how you can optimize your youtube views?

 

Ineed good job young sir, maybe you can teach some of us who are twice your age a thing or two

how you promoted your site ?

 

I just use the wordtracker keyword tool to fresh pick good keywords, and use them in my titles, subjects, and key words. If I'm lucky, they get put at the top of google!

I use a free service to submit to 9 different popular websites all at once, so I get traffic from everyone.

 

I knew luck had to play a part in it since some of my vids do very well and some just get stuck at 37 views or whatever with the same keywords....

Would it be too much to ask what program you are using?

I think the point someone was making earlier is that Kimba may not always be a money maker for you. He could get terribly injured in his next fight and his career is over in a blink. He could die in a car wreck. You can't count on him remaining able to fight. Stuff happens. Ride it as long as you can but be looking a back-up plan.

You seem to have a good eye for a fighter with a future. I would build on that. While you keep the Kimba site going for all it's worth, I would start another one for another fighter or two who are on the cusp of becoming big.

 

Indeed youtube is a very tricky thing to optimize for.

http://www.tubemogul.com/ is the site. It's completely free, you just sign up on the video sites and it posts them and tracks them for you!

Thanks, I don't plan on relaxing. I'm working on new sites, advertising, and learning new things most of my day. Even in school I will sketch out a plan for a new site and then make it when I get home. I'm an marketing FREAK. Lol. It just interests me so much, and it's something that I have a passion for.

Its funny I have come across this, I follow him too, you mean the Kimbo Slice Vs Tank Abbott fight. A day or so before I nearly wrote an article about it to put on G news. I thought the article would of got some good views and maybe if I promoted something, made income. I never got round to it though! Oh well, good to hear your story anyway

 

o man i didnt know who kimbo was untill you said the youtube thing. that man is a monster!! i seen him take hits off a guy twice his size then knock him down in one.. i think his big beared is a bit of a cussion lmao.. good work kid keep it up.

 

I know of a guy that guarantees front page of youtube's most popular for $120. I would post the details but I don't want to let the cat out of the bag as I use him regularly. So PM me if interested.

I have been using long tail keywords as the title of my videos and once they are on the front page... WOW... it's like the whole world wants to embed your video in their site, with your keywords as the anchor text. Alot of sites have PR 5+ too which is great news.

Most times my videos will appear in the top 5 google results for my search term within a couple of days.

 

Congratulations! I really regret that I was discouraged from getting involved in computers when I was about your age (I'm nearly TWICE your age!) when the Internet was still a 'It'll never catch on' type of thing and nobody knew what Google was. I'm almost jealous
