ok you host with him you use him nameservers. and someone whoised you and finds your hosted there. and whoised him and sees he is hosted at softlayer. thus they can report him to softlayer. cancelling your hosting with him

Mr. Peas maybe you need to do more research about SoftLayer, as I recalled your the same one who thinks they sell virtual private servers (VPS/VDS). I also recalled you buying one for your warez site and I remember you telling me that they allowed torrent sites..hmmmm if they can allow torrent sites whats wrong with warez linking.. Maybe you need to read the legal info instead of talking to people who probably got hired on SoftLayer.
