If you are using cPanel, then just click on Fantastico. You'll find phpBB there.

Else, visit www.phpBB.com like stated above. Download the archive. Extract the contents and then upload everything via ftp to your hosting under a sub-directory. Next run the installer and enter the correct options.

If you still need help, I can do everything for you for a very small price. Private Message me.

Just upload (FTP) the code to your server. setup your MYSQL Database and go to the install.php page. All forums provide easy installation script. Read the Readme files in the forum folder first. It is so damn easy. No need to pay for it :)

There are also very good SaaS solutions out there, that allow you to setup a Q&A forum in just a couple minutes (such as Answerbase.com and GetSponge.com....I recommend Answerbase given their credibility).

Since traditional forums are pretty much a glorified directory structure, a lot of people consider these Q&A systems the next generation of forum software. Forums can get a bit toxic after awhile, since you have members that just shoot the breeze back and forth so the content isn't extremely valuable and it takes forever to sift through to the good stuff. The Q&A format provides tools to identify the good answers to questions and keep them high on the page right under the question, so your other visitors/users have a positive experience.

I would check out Answerbase.com first since they have a few good brand names under their belt, and they have pricing ranges for pretty much any size site. Good luck:)

You can get forums from web builders and web hosts, or you can download one yourself to add to your website. If you are adding a forum within a web hosting package then you may easily be able to select one from a list and it will automatically be added to your website.

Some forums usually have a link to the website where you obtained it from. If it is a free forum, then you will most likely have to adverts on your site. You can usually get rid of these adverts by paying a small amount to money to have your forum advert-free and without the link back to the website.

    Thanks :) :)

Most cpanel hosts should have a way to do it automatically, just like Wordpress. If you have cpanel just check those out.

You should try www[dot]mybb[dot]com (Free) - EXTREMELY easy to install and very popular. If you need assistance in installing MyBB, drop me a PM and i can assist you.

Others that you could try are phpBB (Free), IPB (Paid) or vBulletin (Paid).

Depending on your hosting provider, that are auto installers available to install phpBB which makes it very easy. These auto installers are called Fantastico and Softaculous.

http://www.snapwebapps.com You can embed this free forum widget inside your web page. It's just a code you copy and paste into your page. It's rare to find one as fully featured as this one for free.

Look into getting a phpBB forum since it is free and one of the most popular forum software. You will need a mySQL database to host this type of forum and most other types if you want the forum on your website rather than linking to another forum
