A Moroccan computer engineer has been sentenced to three years in jail for setting up a Facebook profile in the name of a member of the royal family. source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7258950.stm
WTF? That seems overkill. Everyone would be in jail in america if they prison for something as lame as that.
I heard in Thailand too, where the King is revered, there are a lot of things that cant be done with the King's images. If you break the law of your country, you have to pay for the law of course. But generally computer engineers have a bright career ahead of them (depending on their specialization too). That should not be worrying. In fact most of my friends received multiple job offers from headhunters even without needing to apply. When in Rome, do as the Romans do....
You will never make it near his house. 500 acres is almost 1 square mile of land. They probably have cameras, dogs and snipers.
What the Fuck is wrong with people here? huh? People get life in Jail for waaay stupider things than that? Especially here in the US, And it's none of your Fucking business what happens in Morocco or elsewhere! that is a country of its own and its citizens are supposed to abide by the laws of the country! So Shut the FUCK UP AND CLOSE THIS FUCKING THREAD. Suckers
Example of someone in the US getting life in prison for something less severe than a fake Facebook account please?
In the UK, up until 1997 you could technically still be hung for defacing a coin with the queens image on. Got to respect the royals man.
