Any clue? If i have a new combination which I want to apply to every add group/keyword set I have to add it to every group manually, using notepad and replace. Is there any more comfortable solution available?
yes, we use adwords editor but i.e. if I have the campaign "football games" with the adgroups: buy football games cool football games and i want to add to each of the group the combo "keyword" + online in buy football games that would be: buy football games online in the cool football games adgroup: cool football games online Is there any function in adwords editor which does that for me or would another tool help me out, in case there are 1000 ad groups to work with.... see?
Very true! And in particular find/replace is extremely useful. As is... =A1&" "&A2 which combines the value of A1 with A2 (with an option space in the middle). So if A1 was "buy football games" and A2 was "online" then this formula would give "buy football games online". Time saved = Loads!
Sorry, but excel is of no use here. This person wants to add multiple keywords with one click across many 'adgroups'. If it was just one adgroup then yes, excel would make it easy. I've searched and searched and from what I've found there is no functionality in adwords editor to accomplish this. I spoke with adwords support about this today. Their best suggestion was to use excel in combination with pasting them into editor (under the Keywords section, 'Make Multiple Changes.') The problem comes about when you get into the Make Multiple Changes screen, you can only select a single adgroup. It would be awsome in a new release of editor if they made it so you could select multiple adgroups.
Excel is still the solution add multiple keywords with one click across many 'adgroups'. This is very easily done in excel The problem comes about when you get into the Make Multiple Changes screen, you can only select a single adgroup. It would be awsome in a new release of editor if they made it so you could select multiple adgroups. use the second radio dial... not the first for multiple adgroup/campaign changes at once
If you format your excel spreadsheet properly you can do this by copying and pasting the editor ready results.
