hey i made a website thats exactly like a wikipedia for peoples usernames and names where they can write their biography and stuff and it can be edited by anyone with out registering. Im almost finished it, its just a hobby project. What do you think of this idea ? The link is nexwiki.org what are your thoughts?
So if I make an entry for my real name, anyone can come along and say what they want about me? Hello defamation action On the other hand, it would be a nice idea to have a site where people can register their nicks (not their real names) and have people from everywhere leave comments.
Thanks for the reply, the reason I made it say name aswell is because some people use their real name as their username. Just trying to cause less confusion lol
Yes thats the whole point, its a wiki. I thought it would be a unique idea to make it editable by anyone, freedom of speech etc.
Nice idea, but I have a feeling that it could turnout to be porn magnet as sooner or later you will see 1000s of fake chicks profile aff-linked to porn websites.

I think it would cause a big problem in the end. What if I won't register and somebody else joins in and would write something about me that will humiliate me? Can I accuse you for it?
Then what's the point in making a site like that then? Make sure to add your contact information there so you'd be traced easily when somebody post something scandalous on your site.
i have a contact page, you havent seen encyclopediadramatica im assuming. unless its child pornography, you can do nothing
I think your idea is quite interesting. I will however give you a tip. Never share your ideas with other webmasters before launching and even on early stages of your startup. Ideas do get stolen all the time and if you are unlucky enough to get your idea stolen by someone with a bigger budget than yours... well you are pretty much in trouble.
