exactly "w3bmaster" is 100% right... Don't love PR... Traffic is the main thing for any websites. PR does not bring traffic towards to websites.
I agree too ..... but there are still many people buying/selling links with PR as one of the main factors. So if you sell links, PR still matters.
i agree, PR matters for those who want to sell links and if you will links you will get PR penalty like me... rankings matters...
Yes, some webmasters claimed that their site PR was going down and they didn't know the answer why. Google says that selling links can ground your site and may also got penalized.
Yes of curse. If you do not work on your SEO every day and do not add fresh contents, then your PR can drop down.
If you built websites for only selling links than you should have to be punished by Google, Till now G only gives penalties to only those people who sells link but i thought G should have to give penalties who buys. It's not an ethical seo.
@w3bmaster but PR is useful to get higher paid job in paid review (paid review is one of the google's enemy)?
Hi, PR determines the quality of a site. The higher the PR the more quality the site has. PR can go higher and lower, according to the quality of the links the site has and the content developed for the site at that particular time. So, be very selective while choosing the links for exchange with your site as it will directly affect your Page Rank.
w3bmaster@ i disagree , most people think so , but many people sell their pr , i.e links . Not all websites are fortunate enough to get major hits . And personally , almost all hight traffic sites have high pr showing that it is having hits and traffic. Ace.
I had a site with PR3, stayed that way for a year without any further work, and then went down to 2, not a very big drop considering nothing was done during this time.
