New CB Feature? Aff's and Merch's Can Now Contact Eachother...

Ran across a post at another forum - reputable source claims that fairly soon Clickbank is going to enable their merchants and affiliates to communicate with eachother through an internal system. This will be great for both sides of the business imo, and will streamline communication/campaigns/support and better enable us publishers to help aff's directly. I've had to use external recruitment and retention i.e. a seperate retention site, my new forum/msn/email/phone... and now we can centralize it all internally, hopefully they build it well with tons of features not just a standard messaging tool... (however I'm already envisioning the type of abuse it will carry along with sneaky tactics to build your internal list et al)...

What do you guys think? Will this help the overall picture at CB or just cause more spam from merchants?

It will be difficult for a single publisher to manage hundreds of emails coming from affiliates....Especially, if his product is very popular.

Soon, Clickbank will need to create a black list or something like that, to block msges from unwanted affiliates ;)

If it's an internal system, they can just add a "block" feature for vendors. Simple and easy.

don't think that it will change much. Those publishers who wanted to contact affiliates did so themselves already. If they wanted to announce something - there was advertising on the login page and the like. It wasn't much. But with 20+ new products added daily I don't see how can every publisher effectively communicate announcements.

It could work quite nicely, but I'd prefer they get analytics working nicely/flawlessly.

    LOL! So true!
Sometimes analytics issues get really annoying...
