$150 for the winner $50 second place for designing a bag label

Hey guys,
I need your help again. This time I need to have some kind of a bag designed. It will be a red and white bag which looks like this. The bag here is a silver one though http://www.sendspace.com/file/yisfrh

This is what I need:

COLORS: RED and WHITE. I want the bag to be mainly red. As this will be printed in red and white only (using only two colors) please do not use shades other than red. It can have some effects such as emboss or bevel BUT the colors must remain red and white only.

I need the logo to appear somewhere at the top. You can download the logo from here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/r9h0l2

PLEASE NOTE: for the logo to have some shape on the letters, please make sure you use it (red letters) on a white background (so you may have to use a white background just for the logo).

You can add some white effects/shapes wherever you think it looks good. For example where it says 3kg you can write 3kg in red and place it on a white oval etc. You don’t have to align the text in the image as I did, that was just an example. No need to design the back only the front of the bag.

Dimensions: when printed the part of the bag with the text on it will have the following dimensions: height 230mm and width 190mm. Also very important if you go for a background that has some white in it: the total height of the bag will be height 350mm and width of 210mm. HOWEVER, the text or the visible/flat part of the bag is 230mm by 190mm. The extra height (whatever goes over 230mm in height) must NOT have any text on it.

I have also attached a picture of the bag so you will see what the bag looks like. Instead of being silver it will be a red background one with some white text on it. See if you can also place the label on the bag just so I get a better idea of your design. However, this is not a requirement.

Let me know if you have any questions. Normally I don’t like designs sent via pm but this time I will make an exception. However, I still prefer all entries to be submitted in the thread.

Payment: $150 to the winner (via paypal) second place $50. Both, winner and second place need to submit the psd files.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. I prefer mainly bold text especially for WPC.

 

Will this be a sticker, or printed directly onto the bag?
Is there any info for the back of the bag?

 

Hey eruct. Thanks for the interest. This will be printed straight onto the bag. However, the design will only occupy the "flat" part of the front of the bag as the rest will be mainly red. The back will only have some nutritional info for which there is no need for design. I can do the back myself. It's only the front that needs to be designed. I better mention this in the first post.

Sorry mate but I am not much into computers. Can you send me the image you couldn't initially download in a jpeg format? Just in case someone else has a problem I want to upload it to photobucket but it only allows jpegs or gifs.

Imba: making progress but you still missed some points. WPC is the most important of the whole thing. So it needs to be the biggest. It needs to be at least as big as the logo. This is the first thing that needs to be rectified if I am to consider your entry. There are a few other things as well, such as whey protein concentrate needs to be on a line by itself. The way you placed it it's on the same line as all natural and that's not right. Please look again at my word document. I am not sure if you're using shades of gray but I can only have red and white.

here is my try..
I've convert your logo to vector graphics and changed it little bit to make just 2 colored (red,white), but don't worry it looks same . In that bitmap psd there were more red shades, now there is just one. All infos are mentioned and it looks good together. Just two colors, ready for print..

Hey Mora, thanks for your submission. Thanks for going with red and white only. The whole design is too complex for me. I wanted to have some simple steps followed: first was logo at the top which you did. Second was to have WPC as the biggest, most visible element of the whole label. In your case it's a small element while it needs to be the biggest. The rest of the label is a little too busy and a little sharp for me. I want something a little softer, with more rounded edges rather than sharp ones.

davey: thanks for entering this governor. Again, WPC must be the central/biggest element of this label/bag. In your design it's not. 3kg appears way too big. 3kg should be just something relatively small. The fonts you used are pretty close to what I am after. The logo needs to be a little bigger. I like simple but I feel like your design is just a touch too plain and needs to be spiced up a little.

To everyone else considering a submission: my word document in my first post is crappy (that's why I need your help ) but it gives you an indication of the size of the text such as which parts of the text you should make bigger and which smaller.

 

No problem mate, i knew the 3kg was too big but something inside me wanted it there so go figure lol

I'll be submitting more just wanted the initial feedback and I have it now
