I want to share a question with all of you and let's see what answers we get: Question is "Tell any name of a girl or lady in which no vowels occur means a, e, i, o, u" ??
I know a girl named DJ. But I guess that doesn't count. By the way Kaung, Syndy doesn't count either because the letter "Y" is considered a vowel also. We need a name that does not contain a,e,i,o,u, or y. There may be some from other countries, but I can't think of any common American names at the moment. I'll let you know if I think of any.
Kodut, The letter "Y" is sometimes considered a vowel in certain words such as in the word "RHYTHM" for example. I can't believe you've never heard of "Y" being used as a vowel. We learned that in Kindergarten. Please somebody tell me I'm not alone.
I'm not joking. Ask any English Professor and they will tell you that "Y" is sometimes considered a vowel.
in the English language, emphasize English, Y is a vowel. this is our language and thats how its been all my life. a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes y http://www.usingenglish.com/glossary/vowel.html
Y? A Vowel? Are you barking MAD? I am a British Citizen and have lived here all my life, and I have nver heard anyway say that 'Y' was a vowel!
Thank you Sawz. Thank you for providing that link. I'm sure the same info can be found in many dictionaries. I guess the rest of you weren't paying attention in school.
Hi Scott i totally agree with you as i myself missed in my post itself i am correcting it. But please answer the main question please.
do you need english names? non-english countries do not use vowels such as a,e,i,o,u or y or any a-z for that matter
