Hi all, Just to compare our stats a little bit to see if anyone here are experiencing any extremes or are we all within the same band. How many hops does it take for YOU ... to make a sale? Cheers!
Usually it takes about 20-50 hops for me to make a sale but it depends from one source of traffic to another. Though an an average, I get about 1:70 conversion ratio. But keeping in view that I use is FREE traffic, 1:70 is not at all a bad deal. I'd even be happy with a 1:100 ratio using free traffic.
hi Felu, 1:70 from free traffic is not bad at all. Mine (as of last check) comes up around 1:109. I attribute that to "un-finetuned" traffic (still pretty broad in my case). That 1:109 is an overall average of all my hop traffic. Part of my strategy involves PPC and i'm getting about 1:55 on that. Cheers all! P.S What about the rest?
30-70 for me....it really odes depend on the power in the niche though.. and he spending ability they have M/cr
I usually get 1 sale a day with 30-35 clicks on PPC. Yesterday was exceptionally good with 1:17 on PPC and 1:13 on click-through in the landing page. nadavs
Since my hops are hopeless I get a sale for 1000 hops on an average for the last 4 months period.Do not laugh, it is true. Mine is free traffic may be the free stuff seekers seldom buy. But I would like to know the reference period you have taken for this analysis ? Why i mention this because sales vary at different points of time as you know, and if the ratio is of a good period it may not reflect a real picture, though I have all appreciation for your marketing skills !!
One lifestyle product I used to promote years ago coverted at 650:1, which was embarrassing. That was my worst record so far, others are converting at around 150:1. I'm hoping my own product can do better.
From what I can see, it really depends on the product, your traffic, your landing pages, and your ads and bids if you're doing PPC. For the products I promote using adwords, the conversion rate ranges from 1:20 to 1:400. As long as I'm turning a profit, I will tolerate a low conversion rate. After all, profitability is the ultimate judge, unless you're running into cash flow problems, in which case the ROI may be more important. Amy
