To Cloak or Not to Cloak

So I have the ability to cloak all my links and make landing pages look like a person never left my site.

But my problem is sometimes in Firefox and with landing pages with frames my affiliate ID doesn't show up. It seems 1-10 clicks with Firefox my id doesn't show up and it never shows up if the merchant is using a frame to hide my id for me.

I Cloak to protect my self my Zango mostly.

But it seems when my links are cloaked I get less sales...

I'm experimenting today. None of my links are cloaked. And I have decent sales so far.

Tomorrow I'll cloak all my links and compare.

But I want to know, how are your guys doing with your cloaked linking?

I'm trying the same thing, I am currently cloaking and seeing what happens for a few days. Clickbank is so wierd and random, it drives me crazy !!

 

Any changes once you cloaked your links?

 

i did recieve a sale, but just 1 so far. Im gonna have to test it for a little to notice drastic change. I will let it run for a few days and see what happens.

 

You will find out if you do it a few times back and forth.

 

Well today I'm doing decent so far with No cloaking.

Tomorrow I'll try cloaking All day and see if there is a differene.

I'll report my findings.

this changes you make, do they not affect your quality score

I mean each time you change your ad, it has to be re-approved right?

 

I just change my php redirects, not any campaigns.

from my testing... cloak links are coming through, so far I've made the same amount of sales today then all day yesterday and it's around 4pm here.

My current cloaking uses frames... I found one tha doesn't I'm going to implement that to see if it's any better.

Sales looking good.

I had one less sale then yesterday.

So I'm working on the non-frame cloaking... which is being a pain because it isn't working with my images, just text links.

 

I think cloaking might actually end up working against you because a lot of the savvy web surfers will realize that you're hiding the affiliate links, and then become suspicious of spyware etc.

 

has anyone tried any of the 3rd party link cloakers like affiliatelinkcloaker, phantom etc.. I'm trying some anti-theft stuff in the "CLickbank Odd" Forum, and wanted to know some of the best tools for doing this.

cloaked links covert best !... thats what many in the industry say ...

 

I did better yesterday with no cloaked links... but I'll get it another day of cloaking to see the out come.

I think it's better, my only problem is the 5% that the link doesn't work.

 

Actually I got around 150 more hops while using cloaked links today.... hmm
