I wonder how creative you can get with this. Are most of your people signing up JUST for the ringtones?

Throughout reading this thread, I have noticed you say "Scale it" several times. In any business, using a successful model and "Scaling it" or "Cookie cutting" the model is literally business gospel. Heck, it's companies like McDonald's that have perfected the art of scaling.

I got thinking about it in terms of Adwords and I have a few questions. Do you scale with depth by increasing your total daily spend on ads to for the same keywords or do you scale laterally by setting up new ad groups and keywords? One would think if you were doing the latter of the two, it might be just as easy not to scale but to dive into other niches as well (other than ringtones).

The point of my question is that it doesn't seem to me that you are actually benefiting from economies of scale when you have to dip back into your creativity and dream up more ad groups and keywords.

Your thoughts?

You hit the nail on the head...answered your own question.

I scale by getting creative. More Ad Groups, more Keywords, More Campaigns. Just keep on going. Hell, if you really are promoting "cat food" throw up a "Disneyworld" ad group just to see what happens. Just keep on rolling, stick with the good, tweak the even-breakers, and trash the trash.
