not really. no database is being used, nothing is being saved.
Now, of course, when certain characters are typed in, a request is sent to the server for highlighting current text. If you had hundreds of users at the same time highlighting, it may show some delays, but that's just assumptions, didn't really try it with such scale.
But in my opinion, nothing to worry about simple, small, on the fly, no database.

mrbrian, yes. But the actual highlighting function is built-in with PHP. the rest (ajax work, etc) is custom coded.
