I just started a BANS site this week. No commissions yet. I figure it may take awhile before I receive any commissions. How much did you make your first month using BANS?
Not much...$40 or so... It took a lot of sites and then the Holiday to groom the income. Make sure your niche is appropriate for the time of year. Plus it takes time for Google to start sending traffic...not always...but usually. Keep adding content and using social bookmarking to kick start the site. Good luck Bill
I make about $1k+ for the first month with my BANS store My secret? Initially I set up some campaign for upcoming events (eg. blockbuster movie, concerts, sports events) and sell related items (eg. tickets & posters). When these events are held, there are lots of searches for related terms in SE and I'd manage to make some money. Most of the profits come from eBay sign-up. My another secret is making my site unique. I try to add unique contents as much as possible. I believe it's important to avoid duplicate content penalty. if you need more tips you can refer to my little site below. Cheers, CY P/s: oh ya.. i can't stress this enough: DO NOT buy BANS until you become an eBay affiliate ! ! ! !
First month income for one BANS store- $600 There are two keys: 1. Niche 2. Targeted Traffic With these two keys you will make money with BANS. No questions.
Thats impressive. I have been thinking about getting BANS. I will definitely wait to get a good profitable niche first. Love2Write
Oops, I see why I didn't have any sales yet. I'm also new to Commission Junction.. In BANS I had inserted my CJ Account Number (Doh!), and not my PID. I fixed it, a hour after the first post (which was last night). I now, already have one sale (.70 commission). I know 70 cents isn't much, but it's at least encouraging. Thanks to everyone for your advice and encouragement.
I'm curious, do you guys setup a new website with a new domain name or do you guys use old (aged) domain/website? Thanks.
IMHO, one of the best targetted traffic is use product names/brand names/model as your keywords. You can find these keywords easily from eBay pulse. Another good source is Yahoo buzz, here you can refer to example in video games niche: http://buzz.yahoo.com/video_games/
