    They are after the PKK
Even if it escalates it will not be big news around the world
The big hitters will just sit back and watch

10,000 troops were taking part in the offensive and had penetrated six miles into Iraq

Peshmerga forces appear ready to retaliate

Peshmerga lol. The operation does not target the peshmerga, only PKK terrorists. But they can always pull their own plug with a confrontation.

This is nowhere like what America did so false correlation, for first this is a temprorary strike, for second we are a neighbouring country facing direct threat, we don't come from overseas nor we have intentions of stealing resources or deciding their faith.

What Turkey is doing now is no different than the US going after Saddam.

Saddam was the ruler of that country whether you like it or not, PKK is a terrorist group.

I guess you can figure the difference between Osama bin Laden and Afgan king.

Saddam was the dictator for life of Iraq. He's dead now.

This is Turkey's 8'th or 9th operation to Iraq and they are there to stop the terrorist organization (PKK) if they were there to invade there they'll never get out before.
The invaders think that everyone is like them.

You can't be serious. C'mon Bogart, even in your most neurotic, paranoid, murderous islamic nightmares, this doesn't add up.

It is totally different. Had Iraq been on our border and militants crossed into the US bombing and attacking us you might be right. It however was not the case.

We knew Turkey would do this from the get go, before the war. Now to sound shocked, especially anyone who was for the war is simply astonishing.

I'm not shocked. But you can see the irony that the Turks wouldn't let the 4th ID cross into Turkey back in 2003 and they are doing the same.

No irony at all. They knew doing what we did would increase the power base of our new found allies in the north. ;) We wanted to go in with those they are against to fight Saddam, seriously fail to see any irony there.

BTW I didn't mean you when I said 'shocked' ;) I meant it in general, and or the media.

Usa wants to use a branch of Pkk terorist organization (pejak) against Iran so they do nothing against Pkk.(Again my terorist your terorist situation) and as the Indians said "White man always tell lies".
Turkey has to defend itself our leaders are too patient imo.

Most of the weapons Saddam used against the kurds came from European countries and USA , now they say that they are friends If they believe that they'll be pawns in their hands and would suffer like the Indians,Palestinians and Vietnam people.

Iran may follow Turkey's example and cross the border to help its Shia allies in the south of Iraq.

Iran may follow US example actually, that global approval isn't necessary to meddle Iraq. Bu they won't do that as long as US is in there. They are arrogant but not stupid. Chess is sorta persian game afterall.
