It is a clear-cut land steal. Can you believe an entire country has been stolen, coz Truman believed God promised land to some people, and they could take the land away by force from its inhabitants. So much for their Hypocrisy of supporting liberty and freedom.

You have not mentioned some history

Israel had in actual fact conquered more than that, but had returned the whole of Sinai to Egypt. At that time against an enemy that called for the destruction of yourself, would you not fight to the death? You wanted to destroy someone but was defeated and lost your land, who are you blaming? The land was not stolen but was conquered.

But this is history. Now is 2008 not 1967, I do hope that Israel can make permanent peace with its neighbors. The Palestinian issue had been dragging on for too long. Palestine has lost a few generations of its youths, it cannot lose anymore. It is time to forge a lasting peace and begin the difficult task of Nation Building. I do hope that the Arab world will support Palestine in rebuilding given that they are flushed with money.

The Arab world doesn't appear to support Palestine at all. The Egyptians won't even open the border to them.

Yeap that is another issue, despite the protests over the Palestine issue, had their Arab counterparts helped in anyway? Provide aid? Provide technical support to rebuild the country? Provide Investments so that Palestinians do not need to go to Israel to work? Provide a peace keeping force to protect the Palestinians?

Israel is the enemy but this enemy is the bread and butter of many Palestinians, you can say Israel is exploiting cheap labor but the Arab nations are rich, they can help develop Palestine industries. Did they do that?

All of their "foreign aid" seems to appear in the form of rocket launchers.

Yes, they use Palestinians as their proxies against Israel, this did the Israelis some damages but the Palestinians suffered many times more. Why not give them some factories, some technical expertise, some money to run the public works. Give them houses, give them places they can call their homes. Give them schools, give them the ability to learn some useful skills to fend and feed themselves?

A few tiny green dots properly developed would be enough to give the Palestinians a home and nationhood as well as the dignity they deserved!

What does Jordan have to do with Palestine ????

btw arab countries are not helping palestine because in some way or another, the US will eventually call them terrorists.
Of course all of you are going to deny this, but think it through. If an arab government like saudi arabia sent aid to the people in gaza what will the bush adminstration say about it ??

This is something I don't understand, maybe you can enlighten me. Why would Arab countries care about what USA say?

    Remember sadam hussein ??
or how about libya ?? al gadafi ?? how he used to be called a dictator (im not saying he's not) by the US, and after doing what the bush adminstration wants him to do (destroy the scud missiles), he became a loveable man as george bush says.
Although i hate to admit it, arab governments would do anything to stay on the US's good side. None of them wants to end up like Sadam Hussein

Until recently, there was no division between "Jordan" and "Palestine", it was all one area.

Don't be naive. The U.S. sends foreign aid to Palestine and we welcome anyone else to do the same -- as long as it is humanitarian aid and not rocket launchers.

In 2006, the U.S. gave an estimated 150 million dollars in foreign aid to Palestine. We welcome Arab governments to follow our lead!

The US gave the palestinian government 150 million dollars, what about the people in gaza ?? the innocent people not hamas. Name one country others than iran (which sent money to hamas not gaza) that ever tried to send money there.

Pardon me if I am wrong, but are you saying that to stay on the good side of USA aka The Great Satan, you are willing to forsake your Palestinian brothers who are in humanitarian crisis for the last 40 years?

I did not recall Saddam Hussein sending any humanitarian aid to Palestine or help them setup factories, provide jobs for them and stuff like that.

Did Libya provide Palestine with the above too? That would be news to me. Destroying Scud missiles does seemed to be a good thing but what has it got to do with humanitarian aid to Palestine?

Yes. He behaved very poorly and paid for it with his life.

He murdered a lot of Iraqi's, Iranians, Kuwaiti's, and people from an untold list of other nations.

    He got what he deserved.

Muammar is NOT a loveable man and I don't think anyone has made that mistake since the Carter administration.

Muammar has decided to take himself off the "axis of evil" list for now.

Iran and Syria are both excellent examples to the contrary. Iran is virtually begging for a military confrontation with the United States.

The Palestinian mandate or Trans-Jordan was divided by Britian in 1947. 70% of the territory went to create the State of Jordan.

The Jordanians are Palestinians just as the East Germans are Germans.

Saddam sent $25,000 to the family of each suicide bomber.

Iran sends arms and money to pay for terrorist activity to Hamas. This does not help the people of Gaza.

The U.S., and other advanced countries, sent aid to both Gaza and the West Bank before Hamas took control of Gaza by force of arms.

If Hamas would accept peace, the U.S. and other advanced nations would be able to resume foreign aid to all of Palestine.
