i had ONE sale today...after 11 days of break which is totally unusual a) I wrote CB a mail, maybe others did also and they changed something? But the sale did not come from any of my "Affiliate Hijacker" sites...so i still have to monitor this til i turn on my ads again. As others said..this is literally throwing out money the window ;( I also think its outrageous since the customer who emailed me first had *proof* that his affID *was* at the buttom of the purchase page...but never got credited - and CB told the customer his affID was wrong. Well..the purchase page with the affID is proof that the customer had nothing wrong at all!

GeorgeR - since you've had 11 days in a row without any sales, I assume you believe that sales of these products are actually happening each day, but your credit is being consistently hijacked. I'd be very interested to witness this myself. If you don't mind, I'd be happy to purchase the product in question from you (just paypal me back 1/2 or allow me to refund it) so we can both witness whether your credit is actually getting stolen! If this is really happening, it will be enlightening to me to see it with my own eyes.
nope, not MY product I mean various products/sites where i sell as an affiliate. Its not likely that from ONE day to another EACH and ANY of those products/sales get hijacked!! Its a whole variety.
That's the thing, I don't think these problems are effecting publishers, just affiliates. Of course if affiliates find that ClickBank is no longer profitable that will eventually be a big problem for publishers (and for ClickBank)... It's certainly in everyones long term interest for affiliates to be properly credited.
Or course it affects only affiliates. Publishers get the full sale price, so it's even better for them. But it won't last for long. If affiliates don't find CB profitable, they'll go away. nadavs
I was just panicking because like you guys, my sales have dropped drastically today (and a couple days ago also). I use adwords as my sole source of traffic as well and have just tested the entire sales process from clearing my cookies, to clicking on my own google ad, to clicking through to the clickbank checkout page, to checking the bottom for my affiliate ID - which was definitely there. The only thing I didn't do was purchase through my own link. Yet from what some of you are saying, just seeing your affiliate ID at the bottom doesn't necessarily mean you'll be credited with the sale. Today is almost over and here is a screen capture of my sales for today and the past few days: Today alone I've lost several hundreds of dollars in adwords cost, even though all of my campaigns have already proven themselves to be consistently profitable (ie. with positive ROI) for some time now. I'm glad I found this thread. At least I know it's probably not something I'm doing wrong. If this keeps up, I'll have to resort to either putting squeeze pages to capture email addresses and start selling PLR on the back end, or direct the adwords traffic directly to PLR sales pages. At least then I wouldn't need to depend on a 3rd party to hand me my commissions. Please keep up the feedback if you can...and I will try to do the same from my end so we could continue to compare notes. Thanks guys. Amy
hey amy, welcome to digitalpoint's sickbank forum! I actually barely turned a profit, it sucks spending hundreds to make $45 tho. curious if any of you guys are selling platinumpartner products?
Thanks veneficuz I joined this forum a long time ago - just haven't started posting until now. Sickbank....hehehe... BTW what are platinumpartner products? Amy
Their a merchant for a lot of top products at the marketplace. They have a lot of sites that google has now banned, including movie, music, psp, ipod downloads. I don't promote those, but one of the signuppages. There actually #2 for fun & entertainment on the marketplace. Just trying to find some common reason why sales are slow? Veneficuz
I congratulate GeorgeR for starting this thread. I think a few posters don't really understand what GR and others are really getting at here. The CB problem is not simply a "slow down" or a "bad day." We're not talking "oh, earnings are bad after a holiday" type of stuff. The gist of this thread is that there is some seriously bad mojo with affiliate earnings getting stolen or siphoned away.
I have been telling people for weeks that this has been going on and it's not the first time...there was a 10 span before christmas that this happened also!! What bothers me the most is when I here people saying OOOhh it's a seasonal thing or that's normal sales fluctuation. I understand what the hell fluctuation is and i know what's normal and what's not. This is not normal and I just want all the damn PUBLISHERS to stop saying it's normal activity!!! I have a solution to stop all these tracking problems for affiliates.....anyone interested...pm me!!!!
I agree with you Flip. I have around 30-40 adwords campaigns each promoting a clickbank product, and all the campaigns have been tweaked to be consistently profitable for the past few months. My server hasn't been down, and I haven't tweaked my ads in a month. In short, all conditions have remained similar for some time now. Yet today I see my sales, which has been consistently at $3xx-$6xx on a bad to average day, or more on a good day, suddenly plummet to $6x for the entire day today. This is simply not natural. Even new competition in adwords is not likely to cause this kind of difference because the products are in different niches. After verifying the part of the sales process that I have control over (adwords, server etc.) to be working correctly, I can only guess that clickbank may not be crediting me for sales properly. At least that's the only possibility I can think of now. Hope clickbank will fix things soon... Amy
This post really opens up your eyes as a publisher... Though I admit that I usually do not partake in these threads, I'm starting to lean more towards all you guys and these problems with tracking/sales/drops et al. I've spent some time to see if I can spot irregular activity with any of my accounts and products i.e. many affiliate names with 1hop/1sale tactics or many 'no aff' sale overflows and perhaps my niches or products/affiliates have not been targeted so I'm not feeling these affects, nor can I trace anything irregular in my stats (hmm, and overall - my products are converting really well this month). I'm left to think: Google changes/filters/algorythms, competitors specifically targeting you seeing your ads up for a long time (proving they are profitable), or yes - CB has problems they can't share... It's a shame when this happens and makes me wonder how many sales as a publisher I may be losing if this is infact a payment gateway problem or recent update or paypal problem or or or... Amy, you've proven without a doubt that this is not natural, however there IS still a chance that this is not due to the CB environment, but somewhere outside it - do you only do adwords or other PPC avenues as well? I actually rarely here people with SEO and natural traffic ever having this problem, and quite often here PPC nightmares of all kinds, especially with G and without notice or remorce. I will keep an eye on this thread as well, and hopefully these problems are being noticed, i know CB staff do peek in here sometimes though they might not say hello Cheers to tomorrow being a brighter day. NC.
I def agree with both of you, i actually didn't mean slow day as, "I had an unofortunate day". I guess I should have said its a !@*&-up day, but that's a little Pg-13. But to move on I think we should defintely help each other with methods of preventing and stopping this so Ill go ahead and post some things that make me suspicious, and things I'm trying out, to fix or stop this. Things that make me suspicious. 1. No PayPal Sales somedays, No CreditCard sales Somedays.(I make over 20 sales a day) 2. New Campaigns are the only sites that are converting. (Yesterday I started 3 New Campaigns, Got 3 Sales today???) *Note, I spend a couple hundred a day on adwords. Things I'm doing to prevent or stop this. 1. Make a new Clickbank Account. 2. Cloak links If anyone has any other ideals, i'll be happy to try some new things out. Veneficuz
Listen to this guy... Publishers aren't being affected as sales eventually end at them. But if cookies aren't being tracked (or hijacked), the affiliate gets an empty plate. My CB account is starting to look more like a begging bowl
This is very f*cking disturbing. I sell all movie/mp3 type sites. Send 1000+ hops daily and usually sell between 3-6 products daily. Last 3 days 0-0-$7.13 The $7.00 was a cbmall type product. Im not getting credited for any movie sales. So the question is.. Who is getting my cash. Im gonna drop clickbank stone dead if this aint sorted this weekend and ive told them so.
