    Hey,

I purchased a link on Aviva Directory 3 days ago and I haven't heard anything from them, does anyone know how long it takes for them to review submissions?

Give them a couple more days then drop them an email ... don't worry they'll get to you ;)

Jeff and his editors will approve/delete your listings ASAP. You'll get more response in the directories forum though.

And if I'm asking for a reply to my request?

I've been trying on and off since December to get a hold of Jeff and his team to de-list one of my listings, but either I'm being actively ignored or my emails/contact form submissions are being marked as spam.

Any other way I can get my message to the Aviva team?

See http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=5662782#post5662782 for my original contact request.

    Much appreciated...

Are you sure you didnt get rejected? Perhaps use the contact form on the site.

I would have received an email, and my money back. I emailed them a few days ago, I haven't had a reply to that either

They charge a review fee. The idea is you are paying for review, not for inclusion.

I thought Aviva was penalized a while ago and lost its PR, why bother submitting there?

Aviva Directory already back with its authority status. You need to check it mate.

OK, but I would always worry about advertising on major directories, it makes you more prone to have your competitors reporting you to Google for buying links

You do not buy placement in Aviva directory. You buy a review of your site, and if acceptable you get listed. Same as the Yahoo! Directory.

yep, and also bear in mind that sometimes there are delays for outside factors, as an example, I moved countries two weeks ago, and was offline for about 10 days. When I got back online you should have seen some of the abuse I had gotten, for not answering messages - when I couldnt have done so.

My best advice, drop a friendly polite email asking, not a stroppy one, or post a thread in the directories area here at DP asking (again, politely) for an update.

Why is the owner a member here or something? Like I said, I've already emailed them once (very politely) and I haven't had a reply, that was about a week ago. It's the 9th day I think now

The thing is, I could have been planning to sell the site a week later because the traffic would have hopefully improved, I can't do that now because of the delay, I'm not saying I would do that, but that could have been the case. When it's so much money, the service has to be better.

The owner is a member here. He doesn't come to the forums any more due to reasons of his own. His username is onlinedude but he doesn't log in so theres little point PMing him.
