My Friends has a Dating sites which has 50k members, He has running this site for 3 years with no revenue at all. no banner no advertisment. I think it would be like selling your car for gas money at this point. Unless you have a lot of additional money to put into marketing it properly (I'd like to offer my services, if you do) then I wouldn't recommend buying anything that doesn't make profit. Heres the equation I'd like to give. Your spending 4k for nothing. Or spending 0.00 for nothing. Take your pick.
If its got 50k active members, $4k is a bargain. Are the members active? Remember theres a huge difference with how many members have signed up, and how many are currently using the service.
either way a 50k alexa rank is something to build from, but in my opinion NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FRIENDS!
Doing business with friends is a risky thing indeed. If you do however decide to buy it - make sure that you get all details straight. If he was just a crappy webmaster and marketer - then you could benefit from a good deal. If the project however is a failure from the roots of it - then you could be disappointed. 50k members... That is pretty much, but you should also check some traffic stats, etc.
the site is not in US, But in China, do u think it really worth 4k Because I check that site only have 4k visitor daily and my guess may be there is 20k active members only I means i offer him 4k. not 4000k...i don't ever have 4000k

We're trying to help him here, not confuse himself with English terms. Is this site written in Chinese? Alexa rank of 50k? Could well be inflated using automated scripts - to a certain degree, anyway. Let us know the domain name and you can sure find the right price to pay. I would say a site with 4000 daily uniques with 20,000 'active' community members doesn't sound quite right. Something doesn't sound right, if you're spending ~4000 on a site, I would get it evaluated professionally.
