I want to have various entities so that I can have my websites divided up into various "businesses". How do I go about incorporating different businesses and how much does it cost?
Depending on what type of business you need to incorporate, you should try to find a company that will take care of it in Delaware. Especially if its a web based business. Normally you will want to establish one or the other as an umbrella company or parent company, and the other one as a sub company.
good advice from webfugitive, but I would suggest looking further afield than delaware, especially if you are not based in the US, I use malta, gibraltar and london for my registered companies, and all have tax breaks compared to the US corporation tax.
A single company can have several activities, "divisions", website. You can register a single company and put all your domains under that company. Our Hong Kong company has about 100 domain names, of which 15 are already active and targeting different subjects.
