If you do a search for "verizon ringtones", you'll see that the top 10 sites all have an incredibly high number of backlinks or indexed pages. My questions are: 1. Aside from the original date of the site, are these 2 things the main factors in determining how high a site is ranked in the SE's? 2. How does a site accumulate tens or hundreds of thousands of backlinks and indexed pages in the first place? Black hat techniques?
Index pages doesn't count in SEO BACKLINKS count most Linkbaiting investing huge $$$ in buying articles etc / natural way if they are good
1/Yes 2/ An 'aged' domain with quality content Quality content ummm... and quality content that people want to link to. Buying up 1000's links is a bad idea. Creating linkable content is much easier and cheaper
