Your Help Needed to Build the Largest SEO Knowledge Database

As requested by a moderator, I'm going to keep this as simple and non-promotional as possible. Many of you might know me from Sitepoint, Digital Point, Webmaster-Talk or even Name Pros. If you do I'm sure you know the project I'm talking about. Below is more details of what I'm looking for.

I'm asking beginner to advanced SEO webmasters to help me build a list of common useful seo questions only. I myself would build the answers\content behind the questions. The hardest part believe it or not has been to figure out which questions and answers to put into the knowledge database. If you feel you want to write the answer to your posted question please PM regarding sources and cites to your answer.

If you would like to help, please before posting questions review what others have posted so I don't have to pick out duplicates, please provide the questions in the following format...

Your article on TLD's should include a part about type in domain names. Your advise does cover standard SEO, but if you want someone to remember and type in your name later it should be a .com

 

Can you tell me which article? The one regarding keywords or the extension? I thought I touch base on that subject, did I not explain it another or in the incorrect way?

 

I just went to the site in your sig. That's a neat site. Here are some questions I want to learn a lot more on:

1- What is the best way to implement a strategy which targets long tailed key words?

2- What are the keys to a viral marketing campaign which results in a massive amount of backlinks?

3- Can you provide me with an example of an image that has been perfectly optimized for serps? Is the surrounding text really important for good image serps?

I think an easy way to find out what questions are being asked is to go to seomoz Q&A area, but unfortunately its only for premium members. but u will find 1xxxxxxxxxxxxx questions there......

 

Go ahread and list some questions, I'll gladly add them within 24-48 hours with the best of my knowledge answer.

 

Most likely 50% of them are out-dated My goal is to not build 10,000,000 questions that are almost impossible to moderate and keep up to date.

It's a massive edit of a php faq script in german, mucho work to get it how I wanted it to be. I fear the next release and translation needs

 

I'll add those questions later tonight, you can also use the ask a question tab up top to make sure I don't forget, since the damn thing sends an email everyday reminding me of open questions lol, a feature i keep meaning to fix.

Are you referring this question when posting in forums, or running a forum? They are 2 seperate questions.

 

Running a forum, let’s say I run a sports forum and I want to target long tail phrases for rugby, cricket and volleyball. Phrases for each of them would be different, so how should I go about doing that?
