want to make sure I get the right script.

I am looking to start a new website and was wondering exactly what script i need.

I want to run a paid membership site but the scripts that I seen are for it but to download the product after you paid. I do not want this as i want to keep all the info on the site, no downloads. I have seen sites like this in the past but I can't remeber them for the life of me.

I am also looking for something with an intergrated forum. meaning when a member pays they automatically get a forum account also. I want a private forum just for this site. No outside people can join.

If you know of anything like this let me know. Thanks

You could use something called Instant membership creator.
It's a gatekeeper script which means that it's only handling the subscription part. You can place anything in the members area. So if you want to make fi a wordpress site with info and a forum just place it in the members area and let the Instant membership creator handle all the members.

I have installed it and am using it and can recommand it. For the price it's worth a shot ($4.97 at http://www.web2marketeer.com/salespages/1078/ )

That's a great mod but jContentSubsciption is $55. I would make a joomla site fireboard as suggested but place it in a directory shielded with Instant Membership Creator. And I am not saying this because I own web2marketeer but because I am Dutch :)

True and a bit of .htaccess and .htpasswd is all you need but if the OP was a coder he wouldn't have asked for a script that has all included.

the best free solution is only Joomla.. yes it has a bit of learning curve but after that you get used to it.. its not really as complex as you think

but if you want too easy and also with those features.. there are only paid options or custom development :D

dont go for small metoo scripts security might be a headache later.. as you are gonna have a paid site.

paid options will work also if they can do what I need. thought about having it custom made but not sure how well that would work.
