I won a domain name dog-help.info in a contest. This thread is giving me some great ideas about things and articles to put there, if i ever get around to it. Keep up the good work
He had applied for fatwa or permission from the Islamic leaders....too bad that old man never had any permit.
there are no dog isssues in islam? islam ask muslims to be kind with all animals, including dogs, and there are absoulutely no "dog impurity issues". I'm a muslim and I know this.
You are confusing me, I am reading two versions, one saying that dog saliva is impure, the other say that dog is ok, do you have any source to quote on?
my dear friend, fatwa is an arabic name of "consultation from experts", and usually, fatwa is accepted only if it's announced/done by the best, even you can have fatwa too, but it may not have that much validity. so i think that you should check the actual source of the news, you are talking about. muslims have pet animals and they don't need any permission from anyone, and above of all, islam is the only religion in the world, which has "animals rights" listed very clear.
Then why did the President of Iran declare dogs un-islamic and start kidnapping pet dogs? I have been told by other muslims they consider black dogs evil and angels will never enter a house with dogs. I have been told in islamic culture, they are not allowed to have dogs as pets and only as guard dogs. I think the whole middle east is crazy that way. Turkey is only muslim country I know of that is nice to dogs.
Kidnapping Pet dogs? C'mon, be real. No one has ever told me black dogs were evil! This is all ridiculous. There was a valid reason, as I had pointed out earlier. So, black dogs being evil and white dogs being nice sounds a little racist, you know...
Are you kidding me??? Here is an article about the President of Iran. It is not just one news piece about his treatment of dogs, I could find dozens. Here is more about muslims and dogs... mo's view on dogs Muslims and dogs mo and dogs When I first learned about this, I joined a forum with strict muslims that practice sharia law. I only joined their forum to learn about what they think about dogs (sort of a spy for dogs). They believe dogs are dirty, dogs cannot enter house, dogs make G-d unable to hear their prayers...
Those are mindless people. You shouldn't listen to them. I am a Muslim. So, I'd appreciate if you could avoid anti-islam sites in your sources, which are mostly filthy propaganda. BTW, isn't this your article? It is nicely written, I have to agree with most of it... I know dogs are viewed unfavorably, due to the reason I quoted above. Dogs had always been an important part of Arab culture. But there are stereotypes in every religion, isn't it? It was advised to avoid dogs as pets, it is true. I need to hear more from c4cyber.
Thats a nice dog you have, is its eyes naturally green? Or did you color it green to make it look evil?
That's the dog's version of "Red Eye" in photographs. It's just the reflection from his lenses. He has brown eyes. It is odd to note that when the human eye reflects, it comes out red, but when a dog's eye reflects, it comes out bluish (or at least for spot).
If those are not enough links just google: dogs, muslims I'm sure everyone isn't just making it up as a mass conspiracy against your religion. At the same time, if you are trying to say you like dogs, then thank you for that.
Where I'm at dogs that stand higher than you knee are health food. Seriously, i get some old bastards eyeballing my Sheppard when we go for runs in the morning and I can hear then\m making jokes like " That would feed us for a week." or " Who's up for a BBQ." Different societies obviously have different ideas on dogs. It's a really difficult situation when one culture tells another culture to abandon it's beliefs and adapt a new one. Both cultures seem to be on extreme opposite ends so it makes all that much more difficult. But the real issue here is Blind people's dogs and taxi's. And if you are going to go to another country and work- you had better be prepared to accept the local customs. If the local customs include allowing the seeing eye dog into a taxi, so be it. I have here (except for grilling dogs on the barbie) and life just goes much smoother - Just a note before a Korean takes offense, not all Korean people eat dog anymore and if you ask a younger person, they will usually say they don't eat dog meat.
