Wordpress is unexpectedly effectual model that encourage people to further develop it as per their latent needs.

 

There are many factors that we need to care when talking about SEO, whatever it is implement on Wordpress or blogspot or other platform.

 

They forgot to mention the All In One SEO Pack and Category Base Killer, two plugins that are ESSENTIAL to have. I'll recommend both of them over SEO Title Tags and Add META Tags ANY day of the week.

If you're going to be blogging for SEO this will prove to be a fine beginner's guide, but if you're using it as a CMS (as I am), then it won't be as helpful. Though even I learned a thing or two from it.

Both are 1st on Google for their given name.

I believe this PDF was written long time ago. There is no use of the ultimate tag warrior anymore, tags are already built in with the latest WP version (and again, you will have to noindex them too if you already no indexing the archives).

All in all it is a good "how to use wordpress" PDF "book".

 

Yeah great information...but I always have issues with plugins as they normally increase the loading time of wordpress pages..Thanks for sharing here.

All in one is essential yes but the category killer is outdated a bit.

Just go into wordpress options and change your permalink structure and there you go. One less plug-in, plugins increase the load.

It's not outdated, and here's why. (See below.)

That will not remove the word "category" from your posted in: URL string. If you use the method you suggested, your blog posts will link to yourblog.com/category-name/post-name while the link to its location in the blog via the category structure will still read yourblog.com/category/category-name/post-name or worse (as I found out while trying to justify the use of this plugin), yourblog.com/category/category-name/category-name/post-name (in my case it was mysite.com/articles/articles/article-name/).

While I do agree with you about using as few plugins as possible, this is one of the necessary plugins to run. Especially considering that the only alternative is to hack WordPress directly (in WordPress 2.3.x you have to edit wp-includes/rewrite.php to have the same effect), and they constantly change the location of the rewrite rules, which makes the pluign all the more valuable to use.

 

use wp-cache plugin..it will reduce the loading time..
