Globat.com and its hosted sites are down for several hours now. Anyone has any idea what's going on with this damn company ?
I've got three web sites with them currently down. Not good. Not good at all. The history of my up time has been actually very good for years. Oh. And I've been down for at least 2 days if not more.
Anyone know what's up with globat right now? I have a bad feeling about this. Their phone has been busy all morning.
Their phone number that they post in their domain registration rings BUSY. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Registrant Contact: Globat.com - Always Up, Fast and Easy! Lots of people are watching this thread -- anybody have any news? I first noticed my servers out at 8:00 am GMT. I can't get through to the phone line either.
nslookup of globat returns NOTING now. Tested using my workstation (my companies DNS) and through codeflux I tried to hit my web sites using just IP address, and of course, still down.
does this happen often with this company? I signed up over the summer and I haven't experienced this yet. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to computers and websites.
man, i got to move from this crazy hosting company, they charge clients for all sort of fake upgrades and sometimes my emails are deleted without reason
This is the second time in a week this has happened to me. I have a clients site to publish next week and now I am not to sure I will go with Globat. I guess there really is some truth in "you get what you pay for". I used to have godaddy and I do not remember having any downtimes in over 2 years. Granted this could be no fault of theirs (lines, construction, etc) but to get a busy signal on their phone lines is completely unacceptable these days. There should at least be some form of automated message as opposed to a busy signal. I will be curious to see: 1. How long is it down 2. What the reason/cause is 3. What they will do to compensate depending on the length of time Cheers! Jeff
I've read a lot of bad reviews about this company and now I'm moving to apollo hosting or bluehosting they're a little higher but worth your investment. GLOBAT NEVER AGAIN YOU POS's! What's the deal here? anybody got any other phone number we can reach this people?
I just sent them a fax from "52 of your customers" (the number of people currently watching this thread) asking someone to post a message here. Think it'll work? (8-\
You can call and leave a message on this guy's phone. It was listed in the Whois: 323-417-5167 My sites have been down for over 6 hours now.
I was able to get through to Globat tech support, but it's in the Philippines! Which means that they don't know anything, they barely speak English, and they are not technically competent. Their exact response was "we can't tell you why the servers are down". This use of offshore tech support by Globat is sufficient for me to find a new web hosting service. I'm looking at lunarpages now. Anyone have any ideas. Globat tech support is 866-841-2300 but it's worthless.
I have dozens of test sites with Globat... I said test because I have not gone live with anything and after a few more of these downtimes I probably need to find a better solution. It is probably more related to a spam attack because of all the stupid upgrade e-mails they send out.
I had Lunarpages before and while excellent, I could not access my email through my company firewall. I understand there are other ways now so most likely I will return to them. And us noobs are here by Googling globat down and we are brought here! Currently caller 29 on hold. LOL
