John Chow's blog is crap and I know you agree! Read here please.

Johnchow earned a name. You can't object it. Once a person get a good name for his job, he won't be penalized. He will get handful of visitors like him. Now he is getting good number of visitors.

 

I read Shoemoney's blog and find things I can use periodically. I check John Chow every couple of weeks. They both do well financially so they are definitely appealing to a demographic that rewards them well. No sense in being angry over someone else's success.

 

i think that his blog was good until few months back....i liked that blog... but now it is review directory nothing else....sheer crap.

 

Crap or not crap, you can not deny that he is one of the biggest money makers in blogging right now. To demand $450 for a review is quite an accomplishment in its self.

Do I find it useful?

Not really, it is a spam site now and not much useful information. However, I have to agree with others that at least Shoemoney writes some useful post and I have learned a few things I did not know. I visit his blog quite a bit but I only look at John Chows blog to see what is hot in affiliate marketing.

I am sure we all envy that you can post useless stuff and make lots of money and have people take your word as gospel. Isn't it what we all dream of?

 

The best one for me is Blogstorm by Patrick Altoft and I read shoemoney occasionally. John Chows site is an abortion. Horrible, horrible use of advertiisng. I definetely wont be visiting again.

 

I know, John Chow is chinese and him started make money from 2002, now him can earn over 37,000 USD / month by blog, his is my idol...!

 

He posts a "tip" post once in a while, but he writes paid reviews all the time, which usually doesn't annoy the readers, since they read only about his success from writing those...

 

Yeh, and since John Chow is doing fine and playing the "bad cop" (where as many other guys are "good cops")... which gets him even more traffic & money.

I mean... since people have so strong opinions about John's blog, people keep saying how bad the blog is - which gives John even more traffic and money.

Great lesson on "controversial topics" - taken to a personal level.

 

As far as I'm concerned he's over done it, I wont be back at his site so there will be no more money/traffic from me. I appreciate for every me theres a million idiots to take my place so I dont think Chow cares

I don't wanna say whether I like his blog or not. All I am trying to say to the guys who don't like him is this - just by posting this thread and posting bad comments you give him more power and control over the masses. He counts on the herd mentality of the masses in order to gain more readers and more money. That is his "SECRET"

Something to impress potential clients with. If only I could take over the image result that shows above the serps as well I would be a happy man.
