$15 simple contest for a banana logo / payment via paypal

Hi talented people,

I need a simple logo that says banana smoothie. I would like it to be in an oval shape or in a circular shape. as it will go on an oval or round sticker. This will be used as a little sticker that goes on some products to indicate flavour.

Requirements:

-must say Banana Smoothie

-must be in an oval or a circle shape

-must have either a banana in it or something resembling a banana

Even though it says banana smoothie it does not have to be a drink but just a banana icon.

You can use whatever colours you want. I would like to end this in about 48 hrs.

ani, thanks for getting this started. It's a great entry. The font looks great. The icon I am not so sure about. Also I asked to have it in an oval shape or a round shape as it will go on either a round or oval sticker.

migi: thanks for the submission. It is a nice logo and the size that's on the screen is very close to the size that it will be printed on. I think the font is a little hard to read and so is the banana. It's got potential but need an easier to read font because it will be printed on a small sticker. I am also wondering why you chose a black background. The black background certainly emphasyzes the yellow but still I think that because it's a banana theme black doesn't match well.

hamo: thanks for the entry. I don't mean to put your design down but when I saw the thumbnail I thought at first it shows a picture of a corn not a banana. Again I don't think that black for background it the best choice. The font also looks a little stretched. Maybe you need to choose a different font and write banana at the top, place the actual banana in the middle and write smoothie under the banana.

migi: this is definitely an improvement But as a general observation, if you write banana with a capital B, then smoothie you should also start with a capital

Now, I am not asking you or anyone else to do changes. I am only providing feedback because I appreciate your entries. I appreciate your efforts as designers and I think it's only fair to provide feedback. But please don't think this is a sneaky way to ask for changes. I will only ask for changes when I decide on the finalists.

Hamo: it's definitely a step in the right direction especially the way you positioned the text. Again, that black background doesn't do it for me and I am not sure the two banana images look clear even in a slightly larger image

cool 123: thanks for entering this. It's got a tropical feel that I really like but somehow I feel it's too busy. I think that if it was simplified (if there was no black and green) it would look much better.

watari: thanks for the submission. I say so far it's the best looking one. It's easy to read and it does have a banana feel.

 

First Try

 

Hey turns, thanks for the try. Positive: it has a banana and it's in the shape of a circle. Negative: It is a little too simplistic somehow. I am not sure about using black in this logo. Also it's called banana smoothie not just banana.

 

zenius: thanks for the entry. It's a very pleasant logo. I think it would look a lot better if you could make the colours brighter and the whole logo a little sharper somehow. Maybe it's just my screen but it looks a little lifeless even though it's got a lot of potential.
