promatadora: BANS will only work with eBay affiliate program. Be sure to become an eBay affiliate before you buy the software. I am not sure where you are from, but if eBay rejects your application, try eBay UK. OK. I've no doubt BANS makes making an ebay niche store a breeze but... Two BIG questions: 1. How do you make people come to your store? You look at BANS stores on BANS site or squido and they barely have traffic. And because they're very 'nichey', something like ancient oriental paintings, wouldn't that be difficult to get 'backlinks'? Is there a so nichey forum or social site out there? 2. And if people do come, why would they buy from your store? A novice online shopper can tell it's an ebay affiliate shop, so why wouldn't they go to and buy from ebay instead? I also have a few ebay affiliate stores myself but not with BANS. I'm stuck with these questions so I'm not sure I'll pay nearly 100 bucks for it when I still can't answer them. TIA.
TIA: IMHO you targetted traffic is the key to making money with BANS site. That being said, you should target buyers' traffic, these are people search with product names/brand name related keyword. most people feel secure to shop with eBay as it is an established sites. just my $0.02, CY
Well, one way to do it is to buy a domain with existing backlinks and traffic - I've done this with a couple of sites and have hardly customised them at all. Amazingly, this script is so SEO friendly that even a brand-new site with no backlinks, when submitted to search engines with the rss/bookmarking tricks, gets well crawled and can do really well. The next upgrade of BANS apparently will rewrite the urls to conceal the ebay link - some people have already done this. Best Margaret

If you know a little bit of PHP, you can easily make your own BANS style store using the RSS feed and an RSS parser (e.g lastRSS). Or you can use the API.

People will be looking for Ancient Oriental Paintings so you just need to make sure your store rankns #1 for the search terms they will use. 2. They will go to ebay to buy but they will usually follow your link to get there..ergo you get paid. Also remember many people don't have ebay accounts so you earn $25-$35 for each new member you get to sign up.. That alone earned me $750 las month from 1 store.
