doubt regarding iTrader point system.

I recently got a promotional free web hosting from a DP member. the thread was posted in the web hosting section(not freebies section). He was offering free hosting to his customers for a limited period of time and i got one

So, my question is: should i give him an iTrader point(his service is good)???
Since it was a free package, i fear that I shud not give an iTrader.

Please help..

 

if you got your hosting for free, then where is the trade?

He stood by his word, maybe leave a positive comment in his thread that you did your transaction in.

No, Wrong, You can give + rep, but an ITrader will result in an infraction or maybe a ban.

 

"Limited period of time" does that mean you start paying after one month free or such?

 

Another case :

If someone gives something to you, and you are happy with the good or service, and you decide to send him money are you then able to send him an iTrader???

He gave you a good or service and you gave him a donation (TRADE) ???

 

Sounds hypothetical to me. I can't imagine any of the tight-fisted members here parting with money when they don't have to!
Just for argument's sake I would still say no - it was originally intended as a freebie.

or maybe you got free hosting and they place a link on your pages, or you have to post in their forums, then thats considered a trade, so a Trade iTrader is in order. not a Buyer or Seller, but a Trade.
