AdSense units wrong size

    Hi everyone - I'm new here and to AdSense. I'm having a problem with the size of the units, and even though I joined Google groups, it won't let me post there, so I came to you wonderful people (buttering you up).

    On my blog, http://www.predictidol.com, I have a link unit right below the heading of the first post that's supposed to be 468 x 15, but it's a skyscraper of some sort with the wrong colors and border and it looks terrible. Also, at the end of the second post there's one that should be 336 x 280 and it's not showing up at all.

    I've been having this problem for days so it's not a matter of my not waiting long enough. Also, I've cleared my cache multiple times and checked on different browsers. Does anyone have any ideas why it's doing this?

    Sometimes when I go to recopy the code from Google's page and repaste it in, it will be okay for a while, but then it reverts to the yucky-looking one. I only have 3 Adsense for Content units and 1 link unit, so I should be okay there.

    Ideas?

    Looked at your html and it shows you have 120x600 ad, you can change these numbers manually in your index.html instead of repasting new google code. The google code does not look complete to me, Are you copying all the code google gives you?

    Don't know why it would change after inserting right adsense code.

    All the other blocks look fine to me

    This is how your code should look like, of course iv taken out any info that represents parts of my account.
    I can only imagine you edited the code by yourself. You HAVE to make the proper size of ad you want through your Adsense panel as it's all tied into "ad slots" once those are made, if you change the dimensions in the on your own, it won't change.

    Thank you, guys, for responding. I do have a 120x600 in the sidebar and I'm not having a problem with that one, so is that what you're seeing, Larry, or am I missing something?

    As far as I can tell my code is the same as what you posted, FanAddict:
    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "PUB-ID HERE";
    /* 468x15 link unit 1 */
    google_ad_slot = "AD SLOT CODE";
    google_ad_width = 468;
    google_ad_height = 15;
    //-->
    </script><br />
    <script src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js" type="text/javascript">
    </script>
    Code (markup):
    I haven't changed anything in the code myself. I always copy it from my panel at Google and paste it into my posts as is. Although I see it does look like WordPress is adding a br tag for some reason. Would that screw it up?

    I just went and got the code from Google again and repasted it in my blog, and it looks fine now. But I've done this many times before and I'm pretty sure next time I check the site it will have reverted again. And the 336 x 280 still isn't showing up at the bottom of the second post.

    I apologize for being so backwards about this, but it's all a bit overwhelming. Can you help me a bit further, please? Thanks so much.

    Oh, xredburn, you replied while I was typing. What other preview tool do you mean? Thanks.

    Yep it's looking good now. Where did you place the 336 exactly? I don't see it anywhere in your code.

    If you have MSN add me - my ID is in the upper right of my posts.

    I'm getting so confused :) now the 336 x 280 is showing up fine (bottom of second post) but the 468 x 60 in the middle of the first post is gone. Well, I'd rather they be not showing up at all than be like they were before. I'm hoping it stays okay - but don't be surprised if I come back and bug you all with more questions. Thanks!

    Update: FanAddict was kind enough to provide me with some old code, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to get that working either. After some more fiddling, it seems that whenever I paste the ad unit code directly from my Google account to the posts, it's fine. But if I go back in to edit anything in that post (to correct a spelling, etc.) then it's messed up, and again, I'm talking about the 468x15 and 468x60 mainly, in the first two posts at predictidol.com. Does anyone have an idea why that would be? I'm using self-hosted WordPress, by the way.
