I just recently bought this site, the owner said he e-mailed google and all is well. But it gets an extreme amount of clicks and I am not sure why.

Look into where your traffic is coming from, that can be done through your webhosting cPanel, or if you use Google Analytics.

Until you find the source of the traffic - and if your worried - Remove your AS codes.

The site itself looks ok. The question is where are the traffic and clicks are coming from. It would not be surprising if there are a few international clickers or bots hitting this site all day long, but the owner is not going to reveal that to you. All you can do is try to review traffic logs for big, clear patterns. You could also use escrow.com and make a condition of sale that google doesn't ban the site within 30 days of purchase. Tread carefully.

97% of all the hits are actually from google itself, the other % is from this site and my portfolio website, so I guess that looks clean... but I really don't know I feel something is up on this site.

If you feel in your gut that the traffic might be "invalid" in anyway, why risk your account?

TAKE DOWN THE ADS! :D

Are the visits from google bots or real visitors? Is there a pattern to the clicking? Try installing asrep.com - or another click tracking software (there's a trial) and look to see what search terms are bringing the clicks.

You get a huge amount of clicks because the ads are very visible and easy to reach. You should not get banned. Anyway, you could add some more content to the pages because they look a little like MFA.

Well I e-mailed google so hopefully they will tell me so I can feel 100% safe. I have read the ToS AUP and everything they have 3 times now and I do not see one rule I am breaking. So hopefully I didnt just waste a LOT of money on this site because I know I wont get a refund....

Actually there is a part in there TOS stating you cannot place ads on a site that is purely for revenue generating purposes. Sites that pull content ie Yahoo Answers that provide no real UNIQUE content in my opinion are made just for that reason - which if you read in between the lines could be a violation.

But the point of the site is for it to be a search engine... its just like every site, it has a main purpose and it has ads. Its like a directory site, they have no unique content either just a reference to other sites.

I won't argue to much with you here :) But this is how I see it...

    - Directories do have unique (to a point) user generated content. It is not "pulled" from anywhere else, it's USER SUBMITTED, which makes a WORLD of difference.

    - Most search engines make their own content ie Google, Yahoo, Ask etc.

What that script is doing is pulling content from another provider, im assuming Yahoo Answers...
