Hi, I own a small ISP company and I am trying to get affiliates to go to my site to help generate sales and make money at the same time. I am not used to going to all of the affiliate programs since I am the one who owns the company. Also I am getting kinda tired of deleting emails. As I have stated all I am trying to do is to get affiliates to work for me. So any good ideas as far as where to go and how to attract affiliates will be nicely accepted. Why don't you sign up to be an advertiser on one of the networks like CPAempire, Neverblue, IncentaClick, or even CJ.com?
You can start an affiliate program for your affiliate program. Give affiliates who refer new promoters for your site a lifetime commission on what the affiliates earn. Or give a flat rate commission to affiliates who refer new active publishers to the program. The best results are always viral - get your affiliates out there working for you and promoting your site. If you don't want to go that far with the commissions to your affiliates, you could also offer an incentive - like a $25 bonus to affiliates who make 10 quality posts about the program in forums about your program without a referral link. It's very possible to make it with an in-house program... it's all about the way you market and attract affiliates. Finally, one way to attract affiliates is your payment terms. Affiliates love programs that pay fast, offer cash by Paypal and have a low minimum payout. These factors can stimulate results for your program. Good luck to you!

Looks like a good start but who wants to advertise an affiliate number? I don't know how you get any conversions with the sort of program. Most customers will be referred but they won't take the time to enter the affiliate number. Therefore, your affiliates do the work and don't get any credit, commission, etc. etc. Maybe a username or word would be remembered, but who will keep track of a number for someone elses commission on the consumer end? You say there's no need to keep signing in but a secure area is really what many affiliates seek. If you're really looking to set up an affiliate program, I'd try to get set up with Commission Junction, Clickbank, etc. The site and ideas look great but I'm just not sure you will get the conversions or the affiliates necessary to drive them. I looked into getting an offer on an affiliate network. I was told the initial deposit is $10K. That is to pay the affiliates. I assume you would get that back if it didn't all get used, but that is a pretty big investment. The upside is you would get your product in front of people that market products every day. You may also want to continue using the forums. These are great places to find affiliates. Also, there are several directories on the web that promote affiliate programs. Just visit some of those and post your program to them.
