I have a question about something that I'm sure is pretty common. I found half the answer here on Digital Point, but need a few more details. I'm running WHM/Cpanel on my server. I've created a new account that is a subdomain that I'd like to host. The domain is blog.mysite.com. The main domain, mysite.com, is hosted elsewhere. I've used a shared IP address to host the blog.mysite.com domain. My question is: do I now need to go and add an A record with my registrar of the main mystie.com domain that points to the IP address that my subdomain is on? Is that all that I need to do? Thanks for any feedback!
It's correct if you are using dns from your registrar. If not, and you are using dns of your host, you will need to add A record from your host, not your domain registrar
