I don't think that it's true. :) I tried that with some different keywords, and that does not work ;)

You are absolutely correct Google is giving different results if you continue same key words again and again.

    Singular or plural

With Google, as far as the search algorithm is concerned, if one letter is different, the results of the search will be different. Thus a singular word will be different from the same word in the plural.
Example : engine is different from engines

I haven't found any difference with the words I tried. Maybe with proper names it matters?

I recently searched for a "DVD" keyword and my site was in # 14 but if I use "dvd" it's nowhere.

Searching for Directory for say Directories still comes up? So does it matter of having content or keywords singular or plural?

About upper case and lower case..

Most times the search results will be the same.. Sometimes the search results are slightly different.

I wonder what could be causing this...

Each time I try capital vs lowercase I am seeing the same term show up in a different position...just tried a side by side comparison a few times

I am thinking this is the answer. If you are searching for proper name, Google distinguishes between a capitalized word and a non-capitalized word. Kinda makes sense I suppose. Here's another example of it in action:

    search for Apple (proper name)
    search for apple (non-proper name)

i know that SE's are KWs sensitive and not case sensitive but i just recently encountered different results when i type phrases with different cases..

i've tried to type this particular phrase in Google's query and here's what i found:

    Link Building has 68,400,000 results
    while
    link building has 68,600,000
    and
    Link building has 68,500,000

    weird isn't it?

I dont really know about this one. I noticed that wordtracker sometimes shows duplicate results that are both all lower case, and 1st letter uppercase...so it could be possible.
