It is 30 below this morning with 50 below wind chills. That's just too damn cold. It was 67 degrees warmer in Dawson, Alaska than it was in Fargo. The good news for anyone living here is that I've ordered some warmer air to be shipped in from Alaska. It should be here this weekend.
+8 fahrenheit? While still not warm, it is quite bearable. I have the polar explorer gear you see in movies like The Day After Tomorrow, but with -50 wind chill, even that only keeps you warm for so long. Even -30 is bearable when there's no wind, but once a breeze starts stripping away the thermal layer that surrounds you, it gets cold quick.
I don't like extreme temperatures...cold or hot...I think 30 or 50 below is an impossible temperature What are you doing out there?!
