No, Alexa doesn't effect your PageRank or rankings. Google has a lot of other ways to check how popular your site is and I'm sure this is a factor in the SERPs.

W3Bmaster is right. you might buy that link, and if G will caught your PR 9 back link than it won't give you any link juice to your website, Let me ask you, Do you have ever find that a visitor search with phrase like " PR 6 SEO companies" ??? Visitor needs quality they will find you buy " Best SEO companies" ... It makes difference with webmaster search and general user search. if you have PR but not listed in search result of second phrase than it's worthless for your business websites. Regards, James.
I think we should put it in the way that Google PR affects Alexa Rank rather than what you're stating. High PR perhaps give you better positioning on Search Engine which in result convert into traffics. With high traffic, your rank on Alexa will obviously be better.
Alexa rank has nothing to do with google. the whole point of alexa ranking is a ranking number that is determined by the amount of people who visit your site AND have the Alexa toolbar installed on their browser
I think that traffic is more important for Your ranking than PR even for Google, but I can only suggest to read Matt Cutts blog to find right answer Google measure You traffic by own sources like Google Analytics, Adsense and FireFox Alexa gather data not only from AlexaToolbar - they analyze logs from ISP providers and... and why there is so much adverts with SmileCentral and other useless things? what do You think?
alexa rank has nothing to do with Google or adsense but alexa rank affects advertising income for SOME NON-Google advertisement schemes.
It funny you say that because i bet you, about 10 times more people search "SEO companies", than "Best SEO Companies" and "PR 6 SEO Companies" combined. And if you have a PR6 link and plenty of backlinks, you are most likely to be closer to the top. And I hate all this talk about Google not accepting backlinks, because they catch you. The percentage they catch is so small it's not funny. You here about it a lot because this is a webmaster community and there are many of us. I have BOUGHT THOUSANDS OF HIGH PR BACKLINKS, AND I HAVE ONLY BEEN CAUGHT WHEN I BOUGHT A PR LINK 9, that was off niche. So in your whole career you will probably be only caught a few times. If not none. WAYS TO STOP GOOGLE FROM CATCHING YOU : - Try to build it up your backlinks, : - Try and stick with backlinks that is similiar to your niche. - Try not to buy it all at the same time, ie)you only have pr0-2 backlinks, and all of a sudden google picks up, 12 x PR4, very obvious you just bought them.) Precaution, maker sure that the link is dofollow, and not nofollow, otherwise you will not get PR! Regards

Absolutely not, I have seen websites having PR less than 3 still their alexa page rank in great (around 10,000). I wouldn' tell alexa page rank is good but, it is not bad. More you get most quality post and good rank in Google, your alexa rank will go on increasing. Note: Alexa rank has nothing to do with Google ranking.
