How Do I Get Traffic?!

Hi All,

this is my first post here, and i just had a good idea

my idea is every body will share his ideas and experince about how he get traffic for his site

for example:
me (MoeAlexIT)

traffic source: Yahoo! Groups and Related Niche Forums
how many/day: in AVG of 500 page views and 200 unique visitors

how?:
simply if you are talking about glof go to yahoo groups and search for Golf Related Groups and do the following:
1- Register your self
2- Do add a link for your site in the links section
3- offer the group members any freebies like (e-book, pics etc...)
4- Post a professional new message to group members
5- try to help others to solve their problems, put your website in your signature

and thats it, if you join 10 groups each day, and have some activity their i gurantee at least 200 unique visitors for free

how about you, do you have some traffic ways to share with us?!!!

Social book marking websites like Digg, Stumble etc. They also get some good traffic to your website

 

SE traffic is the best

And seo is the best long term strategy you can choese

 

As well as writing articles and submitting them to directories)

you are right about using SEO and Write articles and add it to directories.

but this is a long term visits, and it will take so much time to see its effects

BUT

Yahoo Groups, and the social bookmarking is a short term way to get visitors

but how should a site that has just started be publicized ?? Like my site is based on trailers n videos .....so how should i go about marketing that site ??????

 

You can submit to directories, start a blog on your site, buy links and submit url to SE's. Getting links in social site, writing articles are also very effective

Write content + SEO = Traffic from Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.
Be patient. Traffic won't come over night. Build as much original content as you can.

It takes time, 2-3months to start seeing good results.

i still belive that yahoo groups can get me over 500 unique vistors/day

 

You can get great traffic using adwords.

 

stick to this and u wil get quality traffic...

 

90%+ of my traffics come from search engine
so it's about content and links

 

The best traffic is from Search Engines and from Google. There are some secrets you must know and apply them and then you relax totally. You will have traffic all the time. I found these secrets before 3 months.

 

Agree, but watch about that self promotion rules and/or self promotion killing vigilantes that will bury you for doing that and then they will hang up on you and bury everything you submit and then you'll have to get a new username best thing is to write good stuff and wait for the Big Guys to submit it for you. When they do you just make sure it gets as much as possible votes/diggs/thumbs up in as short as time as possible.
