I know that there is a truck load of blog submission directories out there and I know most of them as I myself have used some of them. For example, some directories are regarded with a higher authority by Google and others have lower one compared to the information, articles, and blogs that they have. What I'd like to find out is what you guys consider to be the top three directories for blog submission. Who are the ones that you most often use?
I never waste my time thinking limited to top 3 there are several real good ones and I always take my time to submit blog AND all RSS feeds to all of them. as a positive side effect it brings free one way BL and in most cases high PR BLs
Submit your blog to one of them everyday and you will build up the backlinks slowly. Having tonnes of links pointing in is always better than just 3.
Don't you think I am aware of that? Let me rephrase here: If you had to submit your blog to just three directories, which ones would you choose then?
My 3 are: Technorati - Because advertisers use it. Blogarama - I took the paid option for $10 and got some traffic 1 Cool File - Wait it's mine(free/paid) Plus, I got an article for 45 RSS feed. About 28 are fast to submit and don't want an email.
How would we know? Sheesh. You could be a total newbie for all we know. People took time out their day to answer your question...no need to be rude. As for the the 3 directories: MyBlogLog BlogCatalog BlogFlux Best of luck...hope it helps.
Does it take a while before the feeds get some approval? Were else can one submit blogs to increase their ranking?!
waxingpoetic: Thanks! Torsten: RSS: Some are instant and others are delayed. I did notice a rise of about 10 the morning after.
I submitted to some of them and some notified that a review will be on the agenda first. What do you mean by "rise of 10 in the morning"? This can have multiple meanings. Does it improve search engine ranking?
Sorry, I should had mention that my feedburner count had an increase of 10 new readers. It should help with SEO if the feed is visible and index when it's crawled by the search engine. Example: On 1 Cool File, if someone pay the $4 to get a blog added for life, I will also show the 5 last RSS feed versus the default of 1 RSS feed(free option). This give 4 more temporary backlinks to inner pages depending if the blog is dead or not(often updated). Someone else may correct me on that.
No offense, man! I just wanted to make it more clear. As for the answers, I'd like to thank everybody here for their responses and would love to hear more answers.
