hey all, we have a client who uses frontpage for sites.. the 2nd part of the bad news is I cannot seem to ftp an updated version without losing his menu.. which is part of an amember form script... <script type="text/javascript" src="http://forms.aweber.com/form/62/2222222.js"></script> <script language="JavaScript"><!-- MSFPhover = (((navigator.appName == "Netscape") && (parseInt(navigator.appVersion) >= 3 )) || ((navigator.appName == "Microsoft Internet Explorer") && (parseInt(navigator.appVersion) >= 4 ))); function MSFPpreload(img) { var a=new Image(); a.src=img; return a; } // --></script><script language="JavaScript"><!-- if(MSFPhover) { MSFPnav1n=MSFPpreload....... Code (markup): it simply disappears each time i save the file. so what would you do...?
My condolances. Charge them for a total rewrite of the ENTIRE SITE, and if they don't want to have a valid fast clean website that works in all browsers walk away as the client isn't worth the hassle. If you've been hired to 'fix' or 'maintain' the site - fix it. If they won't let you fix it, ask them "what in blazes did you hire me for in the first place?" ... and link them to this thread where I know at least three other people will be saying the EXACT same thing... (Stomme, Dan and Soulscratch - right?)
