Hi, my friend who operates my websites is based in the phillippines. paying his wages is killing us in fees. i want to know how legal my idea is please. i want to open a fresh uk bank account and send my debit card to the phillippines and then fund the account weekly and have it withdrawn abroad. is this legal?
Both of you could each open a new account. We will call your existing account "A" and your newly open account "B". Call his existing account "C" and his newly opened account "D". Link the accounts together using ACH. The method of confirming with 2 small deposits. It would be important to transfer using the following steps. 1. Login to Account "A" and link in "B" to this account. 2a. Ask your friend for the acct # and routing # for the new "D" account. 2b. Login to Account "B" and link in account "D" to this account. 3. You friend will login to his account "C" and link account "D" to this account. 4. When you want to pay him, send the money from A -> B -> D -> C. Don't know how legal this would be, but it should be relatively safe.
Not sure where to go with this one. Wages in UK, correct me, as this is done by somone else for me. Is 100% off balance sheet where sub con. Thus Philip is 100% off and tax D. DO you think you can get more than 100% then???
yes they come straight from the cost sheet and are tax deductable, however its mainly a matter of convienence. western union is a sham for the fees. paypal is no good either because it takes too long to upload funds. so the best option is to go for opening a account here in the uk and sending the atm card over to the phillippines. i just want to know if its ok by law. anyone?
I am also a filipino freelancer my employer pay me by using xoom.com, they offer competitive fees and gives you the flexibility to pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or PayPal.
thanks, but i need something where i can deposit cash directly. something were there are no fees. this extra bank account is the best option. I JUST NEED TO KNOW IF ITS LEGAL
?? Paypal is automatic from bank account There is something that you are not divulging. I work with a large number or outsourcers. Wages per month about $3000 dollars + just overseas I find paypal most convienient and from a bank perspective a debit card abroad is unsecure. Just my two pence
There is a company I used here in the United States to send money to an employee in Manila. I can't recall the name but will look at my files and let you know. It allows for me to add money to a local office here in Los Angeles, and he gets an ATM card in Manila that he can use to withdraw the funds. I will try to get you that info when I get home tonight.
Actually, I remembered the name of the company. It is called LBC. They handle shipping of goods and money to the Philippines - usally for people sending money or gifts home to family. But it worked fine for me - it was suggested by the employee as his family was using it to send money to him. I was able to open an account, just go to my local office here (Los Angeles) with cash/CC and I would just email him and tell him the funds were added to his ATM account. http://www.teamlbc.com/01prdmr.html I have not used it in over a year. But I hope it helps you. browntwn
