Hi. I don't want to start this off on the wrong foot and neither do I want any illegal advice here but I have a client that's got a bit of a bad wrap online on a certain website (he is and I state totally innocent here i.e. been used as a scapegoat) and the website in question won't remove the pages relating to this and it will slowly damage his career. I feel sorry for my client and his asked me if there is anyway to remove those pages from Google. Well I know that you can ask the robots to not view that page but in order to do that you require them to add some code in the meta tag part which I know they will refuse, but apart from illegal Googlebombing or such things, is there anyway to move the site down further on the listings? Again I stress I don't want any illegal advice here, all I want to do is ideally nudge the site down somewhat off the 1st page. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Matt.
the only way to do this is create more sites about your client with positive information that will knock down the negative websites. of course you can go through the legal system if your up for the hassle.
Hi and thanks for your reply Yes this is what I thought, create several pages about him with positive reviews and information and hopefully this will push the site in question down more.
Theres a few ways but in short if your not experienced in Search Reputation Management, just promote the positive pages below the offending one.
Definitely sounds like a reputation management problem. What Some tips on what to do: - Create positive pages that show the person / brand in a better light and get them links with the keywords you want them to rank for - drive links to positive pages that aren't ranking so well to try and get those to rank
