Will someone tell me why PR4 domains are going for over $100?

All the PR4 domain sellers seem to be wanting over $100 for their PR4 domain names.

    Why is this so?

    Thanks

There is probably a high demand. Its been a while since the PR update, so there are few of the crappy domains left still holding PR that have not yet been sold.

I guess it depends on other variables like the domain name itself, age etc

    lol.
because google is dropping PRs of many sites these days. so less available of PR domains and high demand.

High Demand - less availability = Price hike

More people are looking for high PR these days, a PR4 site could sell links for at least $5 a month each

    you do the math :)

Think about this, if you sell a link (ummm.. google-safely) from a PR4 site for $5.00 (perhaps a bit high), you make your money back after 20 links are sold. This is the factor that I believe is driving the market.

You shouldn't just be looking at the PageRank© of the domain. The backlinks matter more. If the domain has 3 backlinks, and because of them it make a PR4, then the domain is worth only $30-$40. But if you domain has several hundred backlinks, with about 10% of them having PageRank©, then it's worth $100+.

it's more like a scam they link a pr8-7 to a domain and after the pr update it gets pr4, after that they sell it, then it's up to you to make sure it stats pr4 by getting good backlink, and trade some links with others.

I hate this just build you own site.

Yeah. Often a PR4 domain will have been dropped from google and have no backlinks left. By the time the update happens the domain wasn't cached at the snapshot date and turns N/A
