I know, I know. It's sad to take that poor boys idea, but I seen no copyright notice and he appears to have quit, so I must jump on the opportunity. So here it is, I have tried several times to start a successful website and have failed miserably every single time. I still consider myself a newbie as my definition of a newbie is a person who has not yet done the thing they are trying to do, for me, this is make money online. As for loosing money online, well for that I sadly admit I am a vet. Most of my projects to date have been passion projects, or at least what I thought were passion projects while my eyes were being blinded with imaginary dollar signs. Needless to say, after a few months of making no money my passion quickly dwindled. For some odd reason though, I have not given up on my goal of earning a sustainable living online. So that is why I am here. My most recent project, which just started yesterday on making money online. Now I know your thinking it is probably quite ironic that a guy who has never made money online is running a blog about making money online. Well, the truth is, I believe I do know how to make money online. I have spent countless hours reading article after article on doing just so, but usually give up to easily or more often simply do not practice what I preach, or more accurately what other people preach. I did have a personal goal to get myself to $100 per day with this project, and after reading the part I of this thread and seeing that he had quit already I decided I would step up and publicly post my progress. Personally I am saddened that he gave up already, and truthfully hope that he will come back and that we can have a friendly competition in our efforts to make $100 per day online in only 90 days. I promise I will keep this thread updated, unless I get the feeling that no one wants to hear about it anymore. But, for now I must get to sleep as I am currently not making $100 per day online and do still need to attend a job in the morning. Thanks for reading and I look forward to sharing more information with you in the coming weeks. Oh, I almost forgot. Since I am backdating my start date to yesterday (Feb 16th) I will post my results so far: Feb 16 - $1.84 Feb 17 - $0.33 To date total - $2.17 Days remaining - 88 And one last note, while I do appreciate anyone who would do it, please do not click on my sites links just to try and help me out in my project. If you visit my site and see an ad your are interested in, then by all means click away. But please, I do not want to get banned from Adsense and have a good feeling that if people did click my links simply to show support that the end result would be a banning. Thanks and stay tuned! PS. If anyone is interested in a book deal on my journey please pm meïŠ As per thsadmin's comment, I agree it did sound as if I were begging for clicks. And therefore have decided to keep the domain a secret. If you did read this when the domain was still listed then I ask you to please not reveal the domain to anyone. Thank you.
Mmmm nah it doesn't have the same effect as the other newb - the introduction was far too long and draining - well judging from the parts that I read anyway. The don't click my ad's part wasn't really necessary and screams click my ad's instead. I don't know though - maybe others will be interested ....
Sorry for the long introduction, but I am a writer at heart. I promise I will at least try to keep my updates somewhat entertaining. Also, I agree with you about the ad part, though I assure you I was not intending to sound that, it does kind of sound that way. So, I have decided to remove the sites name from the OP and ask that those of you who did see it can keep it to yourselves while this project is going on. Now I am going to bed for real.
i wish to you all my best luck ... That will not get you banned if you have a % of click ... for google a normal % is about 1% to 3 % if i am right
If you are a writer at heart... start a blog about something you love! That's a great way to enjoy yourself, as well as bring in some cash.
Don't understand what you are trying to prove by making $100 a day in 90 days... I've gone from $0 a day to $500 a day from single websites in less than a week many times... Why not shoot for something higher than $100 a day? Or maybe even change the focus from the cash amount you're making to the amount of traffic you have under your belt? Your goal is going to be more of a distraction than an incentive, believe me. Good luck anyways.
Great job at shooting this guy down. He sounds like he is having some trouble making money online and is just looking for a little support. I know exactly how he feels, and it can take awhile to make some legitimate money online. I think $100 a day is a great first goal! Thanks for sharing how well you are apparently doing though, I appreciate it.
Good luck man, will be sure to keep reading to see how you started earning (As I myself want to do the same).
Not shooting him down at all. In fact, I'm offering him some wise words of advice. If he fails at making $100 a day in 90 days or doesn't come close to his plans, he'll most probably quit like the thousands of other bloggers who quit because they're pushing to make $10 a day after a year. If instead he realigns his goals to things that are less concrete, and easier to improve upon, like grabbing 100 FeedBurner subscribers in a month, or getting 500 unique visits a day after a month, it would be much more reasonable. Most people who run blogs that are really successful more often than not already have a stable source of revenue, especially if they're talking about "making money online". The blogging mindset therefore becomes more of a hobby than a main source of income, which relieves a lot of stress from the task and makes it easier to focus on things that readers care about/are interested in. But keep thinking about making $1 more a day every time you write a post, and you're going to give up in no time, especially if you are using Adsense. Whatever you choose to do, OP, just try and focus on content and enjoy blogging. If you're forcing yourself to write, you ain't gonna get anywhere close to $100 a day in 90 days from a blog.
Everyone has different goals. And if his goal is to make $100 a day in 90 days, that's probably a lot more reasonable than the $500 in a week that you propose. I don't know too many people that make that claim, actually now that I think about it you're the first. I don't doubt that it is possible to get $500 a day, but I don't know how you would do it other than using adwords to get there.
Not from blogging, but from creating real websites. And if you think that I'm the first, then you really haven't seen anything online. Not trying to be hostile, just reasonable.
Then why did you tell him to shoot for higher goals than $100/day? I totally agree with what you are saying now though by making lower goals at the start. That's why I was wondering what you meant by your first post.
It will no longer let me edit the original post However, when it would, I did remove the links to my site which were originally included in the post which was my main concern. Glad to see this thread is starting to develop a little interest. I have not done anything yet today as I had a very long day at real work and am just getting home now. A question I would like to poise to those who have achieved this goal which seems totally unreachable to so many is, how many hours per day do you spend working on your sites? As of right now, I am planning on 2-3 hours per day on writing and marketing with about an equal split between the two. Do you successful folk think this is reasonable or should I be shooting for more? I hope people do not mind if I ask advice from experienced people along the way. I am not looking for the advice totally myself, but I think there will be a lot of people reading this thread who are looking to be successful in this field and any advice anyone wants to offer would be greatly appreciate by myself as well as many of the readers I would imagine. As for tonight's work, I am planning on about an hour of writing and an hour of reading. Unfortunately my site's domain seems to be banned from stumble as my submissions are no longer going through. Not sure if this is a common thing or not, but I do think it is rather unfortunate as I abuse their system in no way. I simply stumbled each page of my site as I added it and did not in any way participate in stumble exchanges or solicitations for stumbles. While I was only generating about 1 or 2 clicks per day from this traffic it still hurts a little this early in the game, but I am not giving up. So, this is where my hour of reading will come into play as I will be researching some new, and hopefully better, marketing avenues. I did see one post where someone mentioned that if I did fail at this then I would most likely quit and give up. This is certainly not true in my case. While I will admit this venture may not be a success in achieving its goal of $100 per day, I will not look at a failure as negative, but rather the knowledge I gained from the experience as a positive. One note I do wish to add is that is that I will not be using just one site with the “experimentâ€. I will be trying my hand at several different things to see what works for me, both in a profitable sense as well as the enjoyment factor. At the moment I am focusing on the how to make money online website, but after I get this to the point where I like it I will be expanding out into other areas. More details will come on this later though. Thanks again for your interest and I will keep you posted on any developments!
The best and quickest thing you can do is read other bloggers and develop a relationship with them. I'm not talking about the "super" bloggers, but, the one's who are small/big enough to have conversations through comments. Your comments help their blogs and in the meantime, you have a link going back to their page....... Also, try to find the blogs that have a top commenters plugin. These blogs will normally show the top 10 posters on their site. If you reach that list, you will have a permanent backlink on their site. I have many more tips but I don't want to post them in this thread. If you would like, you can PM me and I will give you some tried and true "secrets" that people WILL NOT ever post on these forums. Good Luck!!!
well it seems we are in the same boat, i too am trying very hard to earn atleast U.S.$100 per day.....but results are way too far, but i will keep trying with newer ideas and strategies
