20 Free Traffic Generation Techniques

1. Write and submit articles to as many article directories as possible.
The best site to submit to are ezinearticles.com & goarticles.com.
When you are writing your first article make sure its interesting enough to get people looking at it, take risks, make it edgy, make it HOT, Also do a search on Google.com for “bum marketing” and learn everything about it.

2. Go to answers.yahoo.com and start answering questions in your niche with a link back to your site.
But do not spam Yahoo Answers you want to contribute good answers so you actually help the person then that will get you the best answer, but just leaving a link back to your site is ok and long as its relevant to the question.

3. Post in related forums and leave a link to your site in the signature.
With forum answering do not expect the traffic to just start flowing in like crazy at first, you will have to establish trust with other members of the forum, spamming sending out scam mail do not work so don’t even try it just generally help others

4. Write quality comments on other people’s blogs with a link to your site.

5. Write a press release and submit it to press release sites as PRWeb.com.
Make sure when you write you press release, that the content is of good quality a good written article can bring you hords of traffic.

6. Give an honest testimonial on a product that you have used in exchange for a link back to your site.
Find good people from the forums you hang out in and ask if they will give you a testimonial on a product you know they have used or have had success with.

7. Submit your blog to many blog directories. Go to google and type: “blog directory”
Or to submit your blog go to www.pingomatic.com & http://pingoat.com

8. Search on Google for the free guide “SEO Made Easy” and learn about SEO.
SEO stand for Search Engine Optimization, which means you make you website search engine friendly, using the right keyword having quality content can get you placed highly in the search engine.

9. Optimize your website for several keywords or keyphrases.

10. Advertise your website in the appropriate category on CraigsList.com or other classified ads sites.
This creates back links to your site and may bring free traffic from craigslist.com

11. Add a link in your email signature to your website.

12. Use all 3 major PPC services … Adwords, SearchMarketing, AdCenter .

13. Add a “bookmark” button to your site.

14. Send articles to ezine publishers and include a link to your website.

15. Give away something for free - an e-book, report or e-course to encourage people to come back to your site.
when you do this make sure you add a opt-in form to the page, this way you will create a list and you can sell something or share a good free product with them later.

16. Create an RSS feed for your blog.

17. Submit your site to many related niche directories by going to google.com and typing in: “yourniche + directory”.

18. Put a “tell-a-friend” form on your site.

19. Submit your website to the major search engines.

20. Social bookmark your site. Search on Google for “social bookmarking”
