I hear soo much about forex on the internet. Should I try it with some play money so I dont lose too much? Also, how much do I need before I can get started..minimum.

    Anyone here doing it?

    You would need $5k minimum.
Be prepared to loose it all in one day if the markets go crazy, as they have been for the past year.
However, the $5k, may return $50k, if you are lucky.
Set a limit & never, ever, go over it.

There is plenty of great info here: www.forexproject.com

Just don't invest more than you can afford to loose.

...Yes try it ..use 1000$ play money on each trade..then you will have advise to tell others...
Forex is for large amounts of money to make a decent profit. .....high risk ventures of the unknown remember X in the word forex means the unknown and you have to be an expert in the explorations of the unknown

People need a investment they can understand
...I think investing in graded certified coins is more fun.....buying and selling coins such as silver and gold eagles MS70 and proof70s are the best graded coins to buy and resell ....to make profit plus you get to learn more about money and history.
( MS65 is a gem coin but the MS70s and proof70 are extra gem coins) and people like them and have fun learning history instead of high risk ventures of the unknown remember X in the word forex means the unknown and you have to be an expert in the explorations of the unknown....

It's extremely risky. It's up to you in the end if you want to gamble that kind of money.

    FOrex?
it's just like you try to run but you need to do it step by step, many people thought of forex as a salvation to become rich, but that's not it.
IMHO If you do want a get rich quick, you better do gambling than trading, because if you want to become rich fast, you will do forex as gamble ;)

you should not invest in forex if you see it as a "lottery". The main point when you make an investment should be money management. If you leverage too much you will loose the money in no time.

forex is a great way to generate revenues, but
you will definetly need some experience and patience though
you could expect a normal grow of your deposited money at arround 2-3% each month

Even if you are an expert in the workings of the market, don't let the promise of fast & easy profits cloud your judgment. Brokers in their service offerings assume most clients will lose money (and trade against their clients' positions accordingly). A simple way to avoid being one of the short-lived traders is to avoid it altogether as it is a very grey business in which most traders simply lose their shirts.

I am not even sure why we are all speaking about forex here. I think we must find a good forex forum and ask shkad14 to post the same thread there. I guess the real traders will be able to give better advise.
