I feel like a shit and pity when I see my site ranking #3 in Google.com in other countries and "ALL" Google DC's themselves but #15 in Google.com US results. Only Google usa results is fluctuated for 2 weeks now and no one know when this would be ended. My site is pure white hat which offers quality content plus updated on regular basis and quality incoming link from restricted editorial site/directory and most of them are related to my niche. There is almost nothing for ranking #3 in other countries because my main target is US. My traffics dropped around 30-60% compared to the day before this flux had begun. I don't understand why Google took so much time to merge supplement results in their main index. :(

Did you set your geo-targeting to the USA in Google webmasters central? ;)

I didn't set it because I'm afraid I may loose traffics from other countries. There are not many compared to US but better than nothing. If my site ranked good in all Google DC's themselves and other countries then it should be ranked in USA results as well but this s*** still happen for 2 weeks now.

Anyway, thanks for your suggestion. :D

Remember, the search market in the US is much larger than all the others. :)

    For me, it's even stranger...
I disappear from google USA on friday morning, and I'm back on monday afternoon, and this happen only for one keyword.
During the week I'm fluctuating 4th or 5th: on weekends I'm nowhere. Been like this for two month now...
I don't know what to think LOL

When I set my geo targeting I initially saw a negative effect but over time it has come back stronger than before, I agree with ssandecki that you should set it, especially if targeting US.

I set geotargeting and it definitely helped, getting more visitors from the targeted country and less visits from non-targeted countries, helping overall in visits as well as conversion rates..

Interesting. I have never bothered with Geo-Targeting.

    Might give it a go.

ranking good with google.com alone is fine and its not actually fine, its great...but the thing is, you can't please all the data centers about your great ranking on google.com alone...

Mate :D What are you talking about? Did you even read the full post? I said my site ranked good in Google.com many countrues and "All" Google DC's thenselves except Google.com USA results.

Google.com results were always according to Google DC's results until the flux had begun 2 weeks ago and seems no one know when it would be ended.

Well nobody will know what happen because the algo is a secret. if somebody now how to fix it right away we all will be rich. But is that the case now? if we keep thinking that something is not right about our ranking we never will be doing the thing we really should focus on. and that is to increase our conversion when the traffic come to our site.
