Hey, Well, I've finally got around to buying a vBulletin license and setting up a freelancing forum. Although it's just recently up I would like some tip's on how i could try build some members. I hope some of you will sign up, and get quite active around the forum but hey, that's just me hoping. All i would really appreciate is how I could get some member's, I've thought of buying sig link's and such, but not really sure if that would get people. Well here's the link: http://freelancedev.com Regards
Was thinking of designing a skin, It would take a while to design and code though, also just because there's DP doesn't mean it's the only webmaster forum! I'm only trying a new niche.
Sorry, but are you two guy's above not reading my first post? I need way's of getting member's, Not getting told I need members.
Firstly you need to offer discussion, most of yours boards are empty and you have 2 active members. The reason why DP is so big is because 24 hours a day you have well over 1000 people surfing the boards. Make discussions and offer good valuable information. Members will signup if the forum is useful and active.
Also, just had another look and I would say that you should make a forum in the field that you are most knowledgeable in. Webdesign and webmaster forums are so over saturated at the moment.
Nice, I've signed up. I like about it that it's a vBulletin forum, as I'm used to it. However, I prefer wider layouts like e.g. DP has.
